If you haven't got an esc on the lazer yet , I definitely recommend the max 10 sct. As a Lazer zx5 SP owner , I have to say that it's really stable and gives lots of power for raw fun and track runs. Great build ! Love it !

Nice work Glenn. I have to say the look of the ZX5 has grown on me. Back in the day I bought the Tamiya 501x instead of one of these. As Tamiya didn't have a 2WD race buggy at that time I bought a Kyosho RB5. I still have it and the build quality of that is awesome. Not sure how the ZX5 would compare on that.

My ZX5 BITD was the kit version, with a whole load of bits from Atomic Carbon. Not sure if they are still around. Gorgeous looking car. Most fragile buggy I've owned in many years. Didn't keep it long as it just wasn't tough enough for the tracks out here

I always liked to Oople paint job that he did on the ZX5. You should keep any eye out for a TF5 to go with it.

Add the hd diff halves, ceramic balls and feel the difference. I did just the same thing pluss all upgrade part diffs. And the SP front geometry is a must also. I love the car. I also have the zx5 FS. dont know which is better. The carbon SP has a 8,5turn brushless. The FS has the LRP ipc v6 with LRP 12turn triple motor. I like brushed motors better.

Hi. Stumbled onto this video looking for info on the zx-5. Have one in the loft (for about 10yrs) and trying to decide what to do with it. It's fully upgraded as far as I know. Given how rare they seem now not sure I want to run it too much.
