Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid Special (aka TOMS)

The body is a Mid Custom one, not the Toms. The bubble on top of the left side pod is for the servo horn clearance for the mechanical speed control when they modified the body for use on the base Mid Custom. You can get a correct repro body from MarwanRC, they also do repro tyres for them. The chassis looks genuine, it has the correct carbon weave. The plastic part on top of the upper deck is obviously a mount for the on off switch, but it also gave you a flat surface alongside the belt cover to mount your receiver across them.

The steering centre link is from the Lazer ZX, the steering links are supposed to mount on the servo saver assembly and connected together by balll joints.

I feel the same way about the platinums they’re just so stiff 🤷‍♂️ beautiful car though!!!

Really nice car. Bit old . Bit sqeaky. A scratch here and there. Break down evertime you use it. Who said vintage rc doesn't replicate their owners? I love it
