My RCElf story: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3aZo5aEi7Kebc0&feature=shares It was winter time and the air was damper than in the summer, that was why I waited longer than normal when applying the lacquer to the helmet. In the summer I would leave it for just 15-20 mins.

It could of taken 2 yrs to build this buggy, it came out amazingly! What an epic looking and I’ll bet performing buggy! I’d say by the outcome it was worthwhile taking your time! Awesome share buddy!🙌🏽 👍🏻😃

Thanks, the painting really did slow me up too. Not sure I should confess this but....I spent over a week deciding where all the stickers would go 🤣 I really took my time and wanted it to be as perfect as I thought it should be.

Love the visor and wish I did it with my TS. The Tomahawk is a sealed cab so perhaps not as essential but I love the idea of the driver having that visor . Good brain there mate 😊👍👍👍

I never understood the whole visor decal either. I just cut the top strip off it it and applied it to the helmet and painted the rest. The flip up visor is a really cool idea though, I like it!

Mine will probably stay shut in the Turbo Optima to be honest. In the Turbo Scorpion I will have it open and closed when I do a running video.

Hey awesome tips and a great format to the video Damian. I sometimes spend a fair bit of time on these driver heads but I don't quite go to such lengths to eliminate the seam. You have reminded me that I used to use that glue that melted the plastic. I should get some because I'm just using super glue for everything. Top stuff mate 🙂

Thanks Pete. I bought some when I restored the King Blackfoot body. I liked using it, even shaved some little bits of plastic to fill holes or dents. Left it proud and sanding it back. Toy welding lol

Cracking video buddy, brilliant detail on the drivers head, in the 80s I would have just been happy to see someone using an rc down the park, I think my dad let me use his twice, I did skid his rough rider into a kerb, that probably had something to do with it lol ! I remember an episode of Grange Hill where there were kids using rcs on a bit of waste land, im pretty sure one was a purple monster beetle, that always stuck in my mind, really looking forward to seeing these kyoshos up and running !

Brilliant, love that story. Back in the day I don't remember anyone even looking at how the driver was painted at all. It actually looks worse on camera, in real life it looks fine but my eye are maybe soft focus 🤣

I never used any of the visor decals either. Though, I did keep them just in case (highly likely, given my poor painting skills) I needed to cover up a botched paint job! 😅 Nice idea to make a working visor out of them! 👍

Hi Damian, just popped over from the link in your last video! Another masterpiece here! All the time and effort paid off for sure. Like you, I always try my best on the detailing, even if most folks won't appreciate it when watching from a distance or when the buggy is whizzing past, I know the detail is there! Another epic video production, dude, fully appreciated here! 🤩✌🤝👍

Hi, the Tamiya lots are cool and I love the building process. They Kyosho Kts, although more expensive, are well worth it as the quality is excellent. What you would spend on Tamiya Hop Ups plus kit cost, a Kyosho comes Hopped Up really. Thanks for watching the video 👍🏻
