My condolences for the loss of your mother. I trust that the support of your friends, family and your faith--if you have one--will be a source of comfort to you. Here in Hawaii, Obon festivals are common in the summer months. I still fondly recall attending these festivals with friends, even though I am neither Japanese nor Buddhist. The celebration of community and culture in the midst of remembrances of the departed is a wonderful way of marking these passages.

Im sorry for your loss and the difficulties inherent are fully understood in that my Mother too passed away, May 2021. Be potentially forwarned/look forward to their continued existence in your life. As my mom is felt by me in mine. With wholly new talents i never knew i had until she has shined this light brightly for me. May they be enlightened in heaven to follow our art of love in the way they have taught, along with such serendipitous irony that brings them to meet each other and feel fulfilled in the goodness of God that we continue here until our mtg once again in His heavens.

My passion is Japanese Maples and photography, I like looking at Bonsai (art) but don't really have an interest in the subject. I alway enjoy watching your uploads and have only just asked myself why. And the answer is you are an incredibly talented film maker, your films are of such quality It is hidden in plain sight if that makes sense. All aspects are professional level. The structure, story telling, editing even a sense and feel of the location.

It has been a difficult summer. My mother fell and broke her hip in May and after making a seeming recovery from the surgery passed away suddenly in June. May we both find peace. This afternoon I was detail wiring a Japanese White Pine my college English professor's Japanese gardener gave me about 35 years ago and my mind was the most calm it has felt since she left. Best wishes Bjorn.

I have no doubt it will be beautiful, but I would have thought you might but property out at the outskirts and have a more naturalistic surrounding than looking over fences and seeing a city scape. Or I'd personally plant trees that would block the surrounding homes. My deepest condolences for the loss of your mother. The ceremony its fitting and makes my soul ache...

Hey Bjorn, I know that you hardly ever respond to comments but I first just want to say that I am so, so sorry for your loss. Secondly, you say that your garden will be considered quite big when it comes to Japanese bonsai nurseries. Will the trees just be a lot closer together? The nursery in Tenn. seemed pretty big and the new property looks kinda of small, once you add a home. Once again, so sorry for your loss.
