KYOTO DAY TRIPS | Amanohashidate, Ine & Kayabuki no Sato

If you're looking to go off the beaten path during your time in Japan, then taking a day trip is a great way to get away from the crowds and discover some hidden gems. In this video, we'll take you on some of the best day trips from Kyoto (which are not as famous as some of the more popular ones).
Places in the video:
Amanohashidate - This beautiful sandbar is translated into English as 'heaven's bridge' and is one of the three iconic scenic views of Japan. There's plenty of things to do here including visiting the beach, going on walks, and even enjoying small fairground rides.
Ine - This iconic fishing village remains frozen in time and is famous for its 'funaya' which are traditional wooden boat houses constructed over the water where people live on the upper floor and store their boats underneath.
Kayabuki no Sato - This rural Japanese village is famed for its 30 thatched roof houses lying in the base of snow-capped mountains.

Tomorrow i'm in going to be in Amanohashidate. Little bit scared of lifts in general. Is the Chairlift really not so high?! I mean....wtf....without seatbelts?! 😮

Please try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know!) I'm also very scared of heights (including ropeways and cable cars) but it was probably the chairlift that was the least scary I have been on- you are only ever a few metres from the ground maximum!
