Love this video. I am one of those who know nothing about this country. Thanks for sharing. This reminded me when we went to Inner Mongolia a few years back. We booked one night in a yurt. We were hoping for authentic experience. Unfortunately this was too commercial. It was actually built with concrete , just covered the outside with cloth materials. To make things worse, there was not enough electricity to supply to the hundred or so yurts. The Aircon did not work, nor the hot water system. It was November n we froze. I did not have a shower n could not sleep that night. However it was a great experience other than the pretend yurt.

I have been in love with Kyrgyzstan and its wonderful people since 2002, when I first moved there to start a social project. Not living there anymore now, but returning every year to see the project and my wonderful friends and because I can't do without! Great video! Wish you could have stayed longer and seen the many, many other beautiful and unique parts of Kyrgyzstan! You gotta come back!

I randomly came across your video while researching about the yurts in this area of Kyrgyzstan for my upcoming trip next month. I have to say that you are an amazing vlogger, I never watch vlogs because it’s not my kind of thing and the only reason I ever watch a travel blog is just for information, skipping lots of parts and watching in high speed. But yours was so captivating and interesting, and I think what attracted my attention to watch the whole video was your personality, the way you carry yourself, there’s just something really pure in you, even though I don’t know you, and I felt like I relate to you too when you opened up about hate comments and your anxiety. I decided to leave a comment telling you all this because I think it’s so easy for people to send us hate comments, and not that common to share any positive thoughts even though I’m sure many people thought like me watching the video. I hope this comment will make you happy 😊 thank you for the very informative and interesting video and I’m definitely subscribing to experience the world through your eyes! Keep up the great work and happy travels! ❤

Wow. I just saw this comment. Even though I'm 2 weeks late, I just wanted to say thank you. You're right, people are often quick to leave negativity but not as many people leave positivity. Thank you so much for your kind words, and for spreading a little bit more kindness into the world. Thank you so much ❤❤❤

I love the Yurt! Don't let anyone get to you with their rude remarks, don't let them control how you feel, you are beautiful, you are great with people and have a wonderful personality, people that make rude remarks are not worth even thinking about. I love how you take on the challenge and keep going.

I was very active running 5 to 10 miles 4x weekly and rock climbkng on my time off and then i took a flu shot for work which caused an autoimmune disorder called Guillain-Barre syndrome. I had to learn to walk again and have had multiple reconstructive ankle surgeries. I gained 95 pounds very quickly due to a lot of steroids and just not being able to exercise anymore. Pain is really hard to push through and most people don't understand. I felt awful about myself. Then 2 years ago i developed a serious bowel dysfunction and lost every bit of that weight. I wish I had lost it slowly bc my skin is loose and I look older. My point is, I understand your delimma. Be proud of who you are and relish even small achievements. Do not measure yourself by what others expect bc they do not understand what you have achieved. I would be scared to travel to the places you have although I would love to. I just found your channel and am amazed at your fearlessness.

Josiiieee this is the second video that made me cry (after your video about taiwan) . The moment you reached the peak, i cried because i know its not easy to recover but you have the courage and faith that finally you made it. The chat with the local is so pure. Last but not least , i just like what Max do, he is a very kind hearted guy. He has the same frequency with you and when he gave the umbrella to the traveller, wow im melting!

Josie thank you so much for sharing your personal journey. I broke my back about 3 years ago, and I have been unable to do a lot of the things that I used to do without pain. I generally can't walk or stand for any length of time (over 20 minutes), and so I thought that my dreams about traveling were over. I am encouraged by you and your story and I figure if you can do it so can I. I love knowing that sometimes you just have to listen to your body and take it easy if something is hurting... rather than quit entirely. Thank you for your positive spirit.. it really is encouraging!

What a great video Josie and what an accomplishment 👏. Jon also has had a broken back and had surgery three times so he completely understood when you said it hurts to stand, it hurts to sit. People are judgemental and dont understand that not all "disabilities" can be seen. The pain can be debilitating. We cheered with you when you reached that peak. Got to say though, neither of us have heard of that country before. Hope you weren't to sore the next day. 😊

Dear Jossie, love your purity. :). I love your sharing the history and giving people some retrospection and depth to it. BALBALL isn't a Russian word, hun. The etymology of the word “baba” comes from the Turkic “balbal”, which means “ancestor”, “grandfather-father”. Turkic languages (Kazakh, etc) actually influenced Russian language, not vice versa.
