That's awesome. Great video. Nice to see it being done in the opposite direction, and in the daylight. I came down those mountains between those borders on a pitch black night, all I remember is slipping and sliding in the mud and ice with sleet falling towards the headlights... I was alone in my station wagon and it was a freezing night and had the heaters blasting... one of the most amazing memories! :P

Happy to see your new videos and waiting excited for the rest of it. The van at 12:43. German plate toyota van, i saw that van in south of Iran and took a photo of it with my troopy. They were on a trip to island and no one was around. Got so excited when i see it in the video. Checked the photo and plate, its them; i love the moments that makes me say "world is small" : )

Do you know if they have a blog/youtube channel? Have the same van and would love to see where they've been and what they're up to..

Absolutely lovely channel and super travellers !! hats off...i just have one question..just very curious, where do you guys take shower and how often ? :D ....all the best guys
@TheWayOverland3 жыл бұрын
😂 depends on what country and the availability to water! We have a shower on board and in this part of the world water is easily accessible so very often.

I have been living in Tajikistan for the last 3 years--in Dushanbe the capital. Lovely videos! I traveled to Khorog, on to the Wahkan Corridor, and up the Kargkush Pass to lake Yasilkul last July. This is a truly amazing country! I plan to see Karakul and Kyrgystan come warmer weather. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels.

Speccy looking place AGAIN, lol, must hate getting up every day. I'm a Troopy owner, see many other Troopys. Ideal bus for the trip. Hope I don't mozz you, can you get any parts if something did go wrong.
@TheWayOverland3 жыл бұрын
Ha all good. We rebuilt the swivel hubs in Pakistan, that was the biggest problem to date. We carry all the grease, gaskets and bearings to do the job so no real problems. Thankfully Pakistan was the first country on this trip to be full of landcruisers and even Troopys so getting a new set of replacements was easy. A bigger job than that in S.E.A or the rest of The Subcontinent may be a little more difficult as huge taxes mean there’s very few to no cruisers meaning potential international import for parts.

Which language is mostly speaking in Kyrgyzstan? Russian or Kyrgyz ? If i am planning to live in Kyrgyzstan should I learn Russian or Kyrgyz ?

It is a bilingual country. Kyrgyz and Russian are official languages, depending where you are and who you're talking to they may prefer to speak one or the other.
