They dont understand. AI took on the whole eastern conference by himself. AI is a scoring machine like Jordan and Kobe, his height was his only con about him. And they never sorrounded with superstar talent like these other dudes.
@SlvrBckBlck
@SlvrBckBlck 3 жыл бұрын
The game then was different. A lot tougher and more brutal. AI took a lot of nasty hits and got up and continued. Could Kyrie play in the late 90s earlier 2000s with teams like New York and Detroit? He has a hard time staying on the court in this soft a$$ league. If AI was to play in the league now at in his prime, not only would he have had more MVPs and scoring title than Kyrie, James Harden and KD would want to play with him because he had more... (wait for this sh!t) ...heart. And that's immeasurable on the court.

You can add this to your comment: You're seriously putting up a modern copy vs the King of Crossovers? In every single game or highlight, you can see Irving shoving his defender off. But the King dances his way through... He doesn't touch em, but makes em drop. So, I'll give you a moment to think about the rules that changed in the game and how would the King of Crossovers play on this era where nobody can touch the ball handler more than AI's era.. Kyrie couldnt carry a whole team alone like AI did. Kyrie is one of those superstars who needs other superstars to win rings. Nuff said.

And I had Allen Iverson shoes and he was my favorite player because he changed the game and made me rocks braids. Kyrie Irving was made by that I mean he practiced dribbling drills and shooting drills all his life, his father made him into the player he is. AI was a normal guy like me and you, he played at the playground and had fun, he was just talented, he played every sport that's why he was great at football and won state championship titles in both sports. Think about if AI had basketball forced down his throat as a kid, he would of been Jesus with a basketball. AI had heart something you can't teach and that's what makes him so much better... No comparison, it must be a slow sports day to ask such a dumb question.

Iverson played with a broken tailbone and other injuries. Players feared him and did everything not to end up on a highlight. He had to go up against Shaq and other Giants in an aggressive league. He tired players out to the point of exhaustion. You know you had to bring your A game. Multiple defenders on one guy. Constantly in the paint getting beat down. Plus they banned his crossover. Stop playing with AI. Everybody wanted to be him.

AI never needed to dribble it over, The answer had heart, dude was banged up by Shaq and other players in The Man era of BB and still scored way more than Kyrie. AI is the player, The Player! Imagine him playing today, dude played 82 games in a season that time, more minutes per game, more possessions and win MVP and Top Scoring Player, so definately a better offensive player. Plus, he was alone on attacking front, almost always and made the final run, so in Cup Cake Era AI would've been The Answer!

@@blackmarlin3166 Stop it. Putting the words "Iverson" and "overrated" in the same sentence, suggested he's unreliable, shows how much you don't know about basketball. Iverson played 70-game seasons 8 times, Kyrie's only done that 3. Iverson only missed games because of injuries, period. Kyrie has been out for injuries, disputes with management and also ghosted the Nets after catching heat from the media. People knew that if he was cleared to play, Iverson would come to play no matter what. Kyrie was a toss-up until Harden came. So who's less reliable?
@blackmarlin3166
@blackmarlin3166 3 жыл бұрын
@@KenpoKid77 Being reliable by showing up in games and being reliable in being a good player all throughout are two different things. I like ai i got all his jersey but he's way too overrated in fact we only look at that one season everytime we want to praise him when he actually played 14 seasons. Skill-wise he doesn't have a lot of it yeah he can handle the ball well but he's a horrible scorer you can check his advance shooting stats the only thing he didn't shoot horribly in his career was the freethrow he's dreadful at close range, midrange, deep 2s and 3s he basically can't shoot at all, he's also an overrated defender all his steals came from gambling on the passing lane more importantly he doesn't like passing the ball. He can't score he only rely on shot attempts and he doesn't belong on the same planet in terms of talent with kyrie. This debate is disrespectful to kyrie.

It's just that, in clutch time, he asks for the ball, like every clutch player in history, and makes most of them. That's clutch. Also, Kyrie hasn't had very many chances to lead. He's had 3. Let's not forget Iverson had single Handley transformed a lottery team into a powerhouse in a stronger Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, Kyrie talent couldn't change the fate of Cavs in a weak Eastern Conference.

Exactly. Idk why people don't understand this. Its blatantly obvious who had the bigger impact on the teams they played for.

And couldn't handle the expectations of leading a super talented team in Boston , instead of being a contender for the Championship he actually ruined the chemistry and they played better when he was injured... Some players are just not meant to be the Alpha

@@truzzprod.8191 The east was trash when kyrie was alone in cleveland also lol. Lebron's heat was basically the team to beat. The east was also weaker that year iverson made the finals, but he went through teams that were at least as good as his. He beat Reggie Miller and Jalen rose, Vince Carter, and Ray allen. So, it's not like he was running through the east with a heavily favored team like lebron did with miami.

Iverson Changed the game, He made being yourself cool, Tattoos and cornrows when it was frowned upon, Streetball thug attitude when it was frowned upon. Yet, 80% of kids wanted to have a shooting sleeve, leg sleeve, finger bandanas and a crossover. He inspired more players than Kyrie could ever hope to. And im from CLE. Id never discredit what Kyrie did for the city. Iverson is just on a different level.

Respect everything you said, but we differ in what Kyrie did for us...b/c he had 3+ yrs to keep us afloat but instead he kept us in the cellar. He never got us to the playoffs, never above .500 or 35+ wins...Nobody was talking about Kyrie until LBJ came home yes he hit the game winner but like I said we wouldn't have that opportunity if LBJ didn't turn around our pathetic team b/c Kyrie couldn't & didn't!?!? So, since you won't discredit Kyrie I WILL!!!!
