In the reveal trailer from 2 months ago, I noticed tree chopping with an axe. Could this mean we will get a better yield of wood per tree if we cut it down rather than tear it down?

I agree. I'm all for a casual survival craft game but tearing down a tree with your hands is just silly.

This looks really promising. Inspiration from Minecraft without the tedious inventory management (I see a stack of over 2000...) and inspiration from Valheim but without the tedious terraforming and limitations caused by gravity. FUN is prioritized - and thank god for that. The building mechanics would have been enough but there's RPG mechanics too? Sign me up.

Since everyone is comparing Enshrouded to Valheim... the only trolls smashing your house are other players. And after smashing your house they will draw swastikas in the sky because they think it's fun. Also rain and wind won't ruin your roof. It will stay on and won't rot. Also the characters look good.

Tear down a tree and it disappears... I prefer needing a tool and the tree falling like Valheim does. From this video you notice it's not immersive.. there's practically no animation when breaking the ground, gathering resources. Extensive building menu. Well it's still in development so let's see how it goes.

@@Enshroudedgame are there safe areas to build or a way to protect our builds? Valheim raids can just be so destructive. I hope it doesn't approach that level of destruction. Though builds not being affected by gravity helps! 🤔🤔 EDIT: So I joined the discord and found the answer there for anyone interested: **Do enemies attack my base? Do I need to build defenses?** At the moment, enemies are only interested in attacking the players, not their bases or dwellings. This might change after Early Access, based upon player feedback.

Seems kind silly to just be able to auto delete the surroundings for their resources. Really pulls you out of the immersion. Chopping a tree was an experience that I don't think any valheim player forgets, especially chopping one on a hill. Kinda sucks to not have that connection to the environment.

Please consider this feedback. Make this game more MMO, bigger worlds for a more online collaborative play-style. Don't go for this client hosted servers, because this will be almost as a single player title. Create big servers for thousands of players to play all together. This is what is missing in the survival general.
