Sigurd is a Saber class unit with Divinity AND Riding Skill, putting him directly in the path of Nobunaga's strike zone. I would have attempted a solo of this with Nobu, but you are forced to either bring Napoleon or Brynhildr on this mission with you so soloing is not much of an option.

After been revived by Fou, Mashu is pretty much a normal human. She don't want to be like this though, and self-trains to restore her pre-death combat prowess by using that power suit/exoskeleton devised by Vinci. You can switch between Galahad Mashu and exoskeleton Mashu (skills are different, level's the same) in any battle outside the Main quest's, but in the Main quests she's pretty much locked in exoskeleton mode if you want to use her.
