B1 Green bodywork and Front End, B2 Alternator and vacuum fuel tap....but besides that its very nice. So clean and the engine looks like it just came from the factory. Someone went to a whole lot of trouble to make it look so new. Well done!

Oh Wow, I purchased one of those back in 1978. I was a senior in High School and it was the exact same factory green color. You did a wonderful job restoring it, boy did that bring back a lot of memories.

I am recovering/ learning to live with a lifeterm illness from injury & have fortunately kept many of my old bikes just parked up in my garages. Among them are three z650b1 from 1976 & 1977 & being an anorak, even when young, I love the minute attention to detail where the wires from the switchgear is correctly hidden within the handlebars as do two of mine @the exception being the 720cc Wiseco engined variant. Chaffing was sometimes a problem but the neat look gave a tidier appeal to me.

Terrific resto of one of my favorite bikes! I love to see them restored to stock condition and period correct modifications are good too. Question: is it a B1 or B2? The B1 had the front brake caliper on the front side of the fork, and had the round master cylinder, and the candy emerald green paint--all like yours. Are you sure your bike is not a 1976 or 1977 KZ650B1? The 1978 was a B2. Either way, it is a beautiful bike and I would be proud to own it as I am sure you are.
