I really like when you do these types of episodes. When I first saw and met L.A. Guns back in 1988, (they were opening for AC/DC on the Blow Up Your Video tour), Sweet Pain vocalist Corky Gunn was acting as their tour manager. My friend John and I, having copies of the Sweet Pain album and knowing Kelly Nickels connection to both bands, recognized him immediately. We had a great conversation with them about the Sweet Pain days, and I also had an equally great conversation with Phil Lewis about Girl. The whole band were very cool.

Good morning, Brendon. Fifty seven trips around the sun for me today. 👍 Wifey got me Blue Oyster Cult box set of Columbia releases to mark it but I digress. Dude you are an encyclopedia of knowledge and always dig learning new stuff from you. The Ratt-Collage cd got shipped yesterday from Japan; bit pricey however is brand new copy and am leary of buying used since sellers tend to upgrade sometimes. Thank you, sir for another great clip. 💯

Happy Birthday! Took me a minute to catch the reference but I like it. That BOC box is really great! I love the two bonus discs. I own all the albums so during the pandemic I ordered those two bonus discs separately from eBay to add to my collection. I’m glad to hear you’re digging everything and learning a lot. That’s always been a main goal to share the knowledge on our favorite bands.

Here's an interesting observation. The drummer, Steve Riley, before joining W.A.S.P., was in another band called The B'zz. From one stinger to another, huh? I have the B'zz "Get Up" on CD and it was extremely hard to find until Bad Reputation re-issued it last year (they had also re-issued it back in the early 2000's). The song "Get Up Get Angry" has to be heard to be believed, ending with one of the best screams ever to finish off a song.
@BrendonSnyder3 жыл бұрын
I like your observation! Good one! Yes I’ve got the B’zz too. Great album. At the time when I bought it I had no idea he was part of the band. It was a nice surprise.

Lots of lots of albums you can search out now. Regarding the 20th Century Best of, it’s not an album released by the band. It’s something the label did so I don’t count it. But yes there is that for original tracks too.
