I played a lot of 15mm ancients many years ago. Moved on to other games but came across these rules a little while ago and have dusted off my old armies. The rules are great. Very much recommended.

Nice looking medieval rules Kurtis! Maybe some day I will build a 15mm army. So many cool things and so little time! I see the Warhammer Fantasy boxed set in the background. That made me smile😊. Thanks for sharing!!

Nothing better than watching a rule book review. Interesting. Never heard of this one before.

Great vid, these were my first ancients rules and I absolutely love them, built my spartans for them and I'm now building some later crusaders, whilst patiently waiting for the new edition

Thanks for the walk through of the rulebook, I haven't heard of this set. I have a ton of dark age 15mm miniatures that could be used for something like this....

My man, you're bad on my wallet. Just picked up the latest hard cover edition (4th edition) based upon your video series. Just getting back into miniatures after several decades away and never having played any ancients/classical/medieval. Can't wait to peruse all those army lists.

I’m looking at buying an ancients game and wondered if this is the one you would recommend above all others?

Yes. It is very good. Very popular among long time ancients games. Because the basing is DBx, I recommend this as well as the DBA and DBMM rules sets. ~Fritz

@@Forge_n_Brush thanks for the advice. Would you say this is the least complex out of the 3 games you’ve recommended as I’ve read that DBMM is hard to understand ?
@BearGrisham

Also I wanted to ask if it was possible to make the unit sizes bigger in terms of how many miniatures you use?
@erasmusburger2132
@erasmusburger2132 Жыл бұрын
@@BearGrisham Yes. These rules are easier to understand than DBMM and even DBA.
@erasmusburger2132
@erasmusburger2132 Жыл бұрын
@@BearGrisham Yes. The measurement unit for the game is base widths, so as long as the unit base width stays the same it's up to you. You'll need more space though (table size should increase in proportion with your bases) and your opponents will have to match you.
