Loved this! Mimosa Pour Moi is one of only 2 L'Artisans that I own right now (though there are SO MANY that I want to try), and I actually blind bought it because I'd heard it reminded people of a Body Shop perfume from the 90s called Leap. A very cool girl in one of my classes in high school wore Leap almost exclusively, and I bought it too even though I didn't even really like it--I was trying to force myself to like it! Anyway, don't know what exactly moved me to seek it out now, but Mimosa *does* smell like Leap (or at least my memory of it), and the good news is that I do genuinely like it now! Noir Exquis has been on my To Sniff list for ages, and this video is making me want to push it to the top...

Thanks for the interesting video and reviews. Love l'Artisan. And as a mimosa lover myself, and probably by now you know of it already, the most photorealistic mimosa with every facet you have described based on your memories (fresh, polen, zest, green...), to me, is Chloé Herba Mimosa. Nothing comes close to it. I have Mimosa pour Moi, and I like it, and the Chloé one as well, Herba Mimosa, and that is THE real thing. Of the many mimosa scents I have tried, this is the closest, finest and best balanced rendition of the real flower.

I think, the L'Artisans lasts VERY long on skin and texture. They are just no foghorns. What is great in my opinion 😊

I have both of the ambers and prefer the original to the extreme. I too have a love affair with Amber and would definitely recommend that you try annick goutal ambre fetiche. I have others but I think that this and the original l'artisan are my favourites. Very nice and informative reviews, thank you.

@@MariaMeliora I have no experience of it and mfk is not a brand that I have ever felt drawn to. Perhaps I have a psychological adversion to brands that I think pretensious. For example Tom ford, although I have a bottle of Amber absolute. I am also not such an avid collector as yourself. Since we are talking I should also like to recommend hermes perfum d'hermes. This was discontinued in 1999 and isn't perhaps strictly an Amber but I have 2 bottles, 1 from 1986 and 1 from 1996. They are even better than the l'artisan and goutal. Sometimes they come up on ebay at not too bad a price.. Blessings. I have only recently discovered your channel but am enjoying it immensely. You don't have any pretensions and I find that most refreshing...

A lovely vid Maria! Some wonderful descriptions. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I haven't smelled Timbuktu yet, but I do love Tea for Two and Vanille Absolument. Both excellent for the autumn and winter.

I could not agree more with your audience, Maria! What I find attractive of this channel is the way you describe the juices and else that even me, that I consider myself totally unversed in the multiverse of the fragrances, want to try some, but wait, may we know how many bottles do you really have? as for the L'Artisan I could count at least 15 bottles in your table! I wish I could have that amount of electric guitars in my arsenal! Not sure if this deserves some time, but it would be interesting to know the limits (if any) of your entire collection; if you keep them by smell, color, size, mood, price, where... One last thing of what you exposed, I can not differentiate between , if merely for feminine or masculine (or both) viewers. I know this is very personal but, could you suggest us (men) anything from L'Artisan we could give it a try? Then we could come back to you with feedback..... the 30ml bottle, the baby of the family, very convenient, if travelling (in the future), I think should be a must.

lol i was talking to a friend just the other day, saying the trying perfumes is a much more expensive hobby than makeup or nail art. She then consoled me by pointing out that "man's toy" are the order of magnitude more expensive - electric guitars, cars, sound systems, boats :)))

Not only all gender based marketing is made up, it is a fairly recent invention of capitalism of 20th century. Niche houses were always adamant that they create scents, not female or male odours. L'Artisan Parfumeur is a prime example, none of their fragrances are for men or women. You won't lose by going with something that contains 1) your favorite notes, 2) intruiquing new notes you always wanted to try :)

Nick i have Deliria and it is the best from that line. Rum, caramel/toffee Apple and metallic notes but while the opening is great it's not sufficiently structured so it doesn't evolve.

@@shahedrahshaeberry4983. My wife wears it when we go out in colder months. On her its not that strong but 5 sprays should Last 7-8 hours. Actually the longest lasting from this house, on her skin (from the ones we have) is numero 10.

Did you try Deliria in this collection ? I am sucker for sweet scent and gourmand notes , would you agree that Onde sensual has bumble gum in it by honey + pear ? Repelle Toi does it feel strong incense like Shalimar ?

do be honest i don't feel much incense in shalimar. repelle toi rings more honey rich green fougere fragrances to me. if you really want a lot of gourmand insense check out botafumero from Carner barcelona

Let s focus on L explosion D emotions these are now at great price and for collection , I kinda like young , complex and sexy vibe with level of sweetness , if any bottle amongst 6 versions are calling for your soul , please share with me your thoughts . The only big turn off for me to get all of them because I heard they do not last long , weak performance . It is hardly to believe L’Artisan can do this to us lol . Here are my top candidates : deliria , haute Voltige and repelle Toi , does any of them match with my descriptions? If not , I will follow you to pick up one to start first then we ll see ...

Maria Meliora Shalimar 1925 makes me down like an old lady in the opera house , truly granny basenote That lasts the longest lol . Definitely this vibe is not for me but don’t get me wrong w the classic : I use Chanel no. 5 my whole life .
