Thanks for watching and drop any questions below. Any additional water stops on this section are off the course hence I've left them out. I would guess that there will be significant feed station somewhere on this section before the Joux Plane as the JP was carnage in the 2016 Etape. Next up we will have a look at the Ramaz descent once the snow melts and there is still another couple of sections worth a second look in the Chablais section. Hope your training is going well. Hi! Love the videos. Excited to ride my first Etape (and first time in Europe)! I’m really curious what the feed stations look like. Do you know what kind of food / drink they offer? Thanks!

Hi Shane Thanks for watching. The feed stations are very extensive - below is copied from the official website however I think it understates what they offer. Last Etape I rode they even had cold showers. They are usually supplemented with additional drink stations. I'm sure you will have a fantastic time in France. Fruit: nuts, almonds, apricots, bananas and watermelons Salted products: crackers, olives, salted loaves, local cheeses, potatoes, bread Sweet products: spice bread, cereal bars, marble cake, madeleines, sugar Energy products: energy gels, bars and drinks Drinks: Vittel, Coca-Cola, Perrier and beer at the finish

What's the wind generally like along here - is it worth making sure you are following a few wheels through this section Also one of my more successful nutrition strategies is the odd bowl of salty fries to replenish salt & alternative to usual bars & sweet shite - thinking somewhere between Ramaz & CDJP is best - just wondering if there is anywhere that might serve something like that

Hi Noel - thanks for the question. Its likely there will be a tail wind on this section. Most Valleys in our region are windy in the afternoons and its fairly predictable. Can't help you with salty fries on this section unless you go off course. The ski resort on the Ramaz descent is like a ghost town in the Summer so I doubt if there will be any options there. Take some salty boiled potatoes in your pockets maybe??
