Potato diced (आलू) - 2 cups
Methi, chopped (मेथी) - 5 cups
Salt (नमक) - to taste
Chilli flakes (कुट्टी मिर्च) - 2 tsp
Garam Masala (गरम मसाला) - ½ tsp
For Aloo Methi Toastie
Bread slices (ब्रेड) - 2 no
Onion chopped (प्याज़) - 2 tbsp
Green chilli chopped (हरी मिर्च) - 1no
Butter (मखन) - 1 tbsp

Being an amazing chef(Kunal Kapoor sir) i just love the way how kunal sir asking to his mother, mamma look is it ok to pluck the methi like this😍. Thats why i always follow him and his recepies. Firstly i saw him in master chef India and specially for him i watch all episodes. The way he talk, he elaborate, his softness in his tone, lovely all this. I used to cook aaloo methi differently. Aaj ye dekhkar banaya. I explained the process to papa and he instantly said the same thing aaloo oil me cook hoga methi namak se milke paani choregi aur aaloo jalega nahi. Older generation is genius. Aur har khana banane wale ko thodi inspiration ghar se to milti hi hai. Thank you chef to you and your mother. BTW aaloo methi turned out to be delicious 🤌

Thank you for this gem of an episode , how aunty made aloo methi , no chefs having all that culinary intelligence can make...simple and so effective. I would prefer if you can have more episodes of your mom's cooking than yours.Your palta story is same as in our home ditto matching(may be thats common for punjabi households).It was so endearing to see her bring her own simple steel utensils (even though her son might be having all the fancy ones), cleaning the methi leaves and cutting so finely without using any chopping board. You are blessed man.Kindly do more episodes of her cooking, its a request, we are so done with the chefgiri recipes these days!
