1st steps to take by companies if you want your employees to work extra hours are 1. Provide apartments in the very same tech park- so employees can reduce travel expenses and time. 2. Provide a maid for every chor at home so that we can concentrate on office work. 3. Provide 100% health insurance. 4. Provide 3 free meals in the office so employees won't spend time cooking for themselves. 5. Give employees shares. Then start asking employees to work extra hours.

I think L&T chairman has some issue with his wife so he don't want to spend time with his wife and family due to which he wants everyone to work for 90 hours

In India only low educated professional staffs working already 16 hrs per day. Both Narayana have to visit all building construction sites how low level educated engineers are working very hard day and night for 8 hrs salary per day. Dont simply try to implement and cheat working staffs. If you do so It is not job it is slavery

Seriously I don't care about IT dude problems. They pay really well. L&T is a construction and heavy equipment company. If low salary person working without staring his wife. They work for 7 days per week. His thoughts are worst, evil& greedy. I blame state and central government labour laws are just a joke in india. If my working father mother brothers sister they don't have some relaxation and peace in their life. What is the use of money? We want money but same time our family need some peace of mind for one or two days holiday not this 90hour working shit.

People who question a 90-hour workweek often only talk about mental health. I don't know why these idiots, don't consider the long travel times, which can take 2-3 hours each way. Many employees can't afford to eat at the company cafeteria, so they have to cook for themselves. Working 90 hours a week means 13-hour workdays, leaving little time for anything else, like travelling to office , cooking, and sleeping.

True, Every CEOs & founders talking about work hours, increasing productivity, skill gap, hard work, etc. But none of them talking about average salary of working class being stagnant for decades. We Indians were still underpaid even after working for more 50+ hrs/week. These same bigot CEOs & founders were talking against WFH & moonlighting last year. They just want employees to work for peanuts for their organizations only. Even govt's Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran said that "Private sector profit at 15-year high but salaries stagnant." It seems like our labor ministry is sleeping. A country just not develops just based on how much these big corporations make profit, it's largely on economic activity, which is depends on common public expenditure & consumption, which directly depends on the salary of common public drawing. Our income per capita is not even beating the actual inflation.

If people are so concerned on the statement on 90hrs per week, then people should protest to the Government to bring in regulation of working hours which intern will make the country developed in a cleaner/healthier way. At the same time,People are encouraging on the other hand on foxconn plants where they plan to have dormitories for the employees means stay and work, towards modern day slavery.

India is still a developing nation, and comparing our working hours to developed countries overlooks the effort needed to bridge the gap. While work-life balance is important, quality work, responsibility, and loyalty to the company are essential for both personal and national growth. By contributing effectively, we not only support our organization but also help build a stronger and self-reliant India.

Yeah and those companies evade taxes which makes the country poorer which in turn messes your social life up. Go look up japan and korea situation and what this overtime work culture did to their next generations, they barely have one. And since when is working 40-50 hours working less? Do you forget the travel time? Chores? Kid responsibilities etc etc. Aint no point being developed if it comes at a cost of ruining your home and life. Ask japan and korea about it. Two developed nations
