In French we have the word “épuré”, which is basically to have any superfluous component removed, yet still conveying the message or intent efficiently. As a person who loves making art as well, and is only now starting to make my way towards a more creative career, your words from 5:30 and onwards really hit me. I've been drawing and making things ever since I remember myself, and on one hand I feel really grateful to have had an environment that supported what I did, but on the other I've always felt this pressure to always have crazy, detailed art that has to be *deep*, and I think that that pressure and constant vaildation-seeking really made me just put drawing aside because it was just too much and I could never really be proud of a simple piece. So to hear your own doubts, dear ms. Lovesoup, is actually comforting, because I really admire your work, and personally I find it so honest and magical in all its simplicity. So I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you for your words, and for always sharing your thoughts and work with us, you really are an inspiration 🌻 and I only hope you continue to be proud of what you do along the road :)

I always have that "I feel you" feeling whenever I watch your videos. Because I was also discouraged when I was studying. I was not allowed to take Art courses, and I was so frustrated by it. But, I realized art will always with me, now I'm an Art teacher in High school and I think Art will always find a way. But I still envy you for having art as your career and finding your dreams by creating your beautiful artworks.

I've missed your vlogs! Congratulations on exhibiting, and again on selling your original, I love the inspiration, I was also inspired many years ago and created icons for my brother and I based on the same character :9 I'm glad you're feeling more confident in your art as well. Have you tried to paint freely? Maybe spend some time doing some finger painting, or Pollock inspired, have fun! I love that deer one you had stored, I think you should be proud of all those pieces from that era of your life as well. The Zucker mug and figure are too cute 🥺 I was trying to collect all the koalas, but stopped playing before I could make a serious attempt lol
