Yes if priority dates for EB1 are current then you can get a green card fairly faster. I can share my experience but remember that this green card and interview process will vary depending on the role , seniority and the company you are applying through. Companies keep changing their policies and sometimes you have to spend more time articulating internally why you are eligible for this. I can do a video about L1A visa for sure

Yes that's correct..if your spouse has i-140 you can apply for your EAD though once spouse is on H1B and you are on h4

Moving to L1A from L1B after coming to US does not make you eligible for EB1 as you need managerial experience in foreign country which you cannot go back and get. So, moving to L1A can get 2 more years but not sure about EB1 eligibility. Please confirm as you mentioned this as an option for L1B visa holders .

Sorry if it wasn't clear but yes after moving to L1A you are at your company & your profile's discretion. L1A has people and functional managers so it will depend on profile.

Thank you Priya for coming up with a comprehensive video on L1A visa. I was denied blanket L1A visa in Jan’24. My company applied for L1A individual petition at USCIS which got approved recently. I am now waiting for USCIS 1-797 Approval Notice for booking visa appointment in India. My question is would i be eligible for drop box? If not, how should I be preparing for visa interview? I am little nervous as i have already faced one rejection (blanket). I have a valid B1/B2 visa and I travelled to US just a week ago on that to undergo some trainings in US.

Sorry for missing this. But I hope you get it. They are just extra strict about L1a blanket. You should be able to share your experience and your role properly in the interview and should be able to explain that you are at a manager level and multiple people will report to you in the US. That's the main thing they want to know

Ho thanks a ton for your videos and efforts. Helps a great deal. I have a question please. My wife and I are Canadian citizens and my wife is being sent to US by her employer. She joined this org in aug 22 , 2022 and went on maternity leave on July 14 2023. She is employed by the org during her Maternity leave period although her company pays her only for 3 mos starting from the birth of the baby. After 3 mos govt of Canada pays her. So the issue is, her paystubs starting October 2023, shows zero pay from her cos. Do you think she fulfills the one year criteria? HI! This is an awesome explanation. Please clarify that for an L1A Executive, does one need to have people reporting to them? I had a preliminary free consultation with a lawyer and it seems it's not a requirement but he said "maybe". Not sure if he has enough experience with L1. I understand for an L1A Manager one might need to have people reporting to them but could you still be an Executive without having direct reports? For example jobs Like - Enterprise SaaS Leader, Sr. Account Executive. Would you need to have direct reports in your home country, Canada in my case? Thank you so much! :-)

People managers make it easier but functional manager is also something that can be explored. That would mean you managing a really large business and having significant purview on driving it further. It's a little more challenging but depending upon your company and how the organization structure is, it may work out!

No visa, until you have physical company and space and atleast 2 usa employees for atleast 2 years. Once you have all these you can apply for L1 visa with the help of immigration lawyers from Usa to less chances of rejection
