Well if you're going to break down with one of the new, trendy computer controlled loco's, the old L class is exactly what you need to pull you out of the shit - reliably. These old beasts were the mainstay of the WA standard gauge railway from 1967 until only a few years ago. In their day, the only other loco's in Australia that could match or better these things were to be found on the iron ore railways in the north west of WA. Great video.
