How does the ergonomics compare between the NGAL and the Raid X? I heard the Raid X firing button can be hard to get to for people with smaller hands and NGAL one allows for a more comfortable grip. Is this true? How much does it affect performance? Also the Raid XE just seems to be direct downgrade from the X, being bulkier and heavier with no added performance or any change at all besides some laser and battery caps. Any idea why the supposed improvement over the X is actually worse?

Both badass but I hate that the fire button is on the bottom right side. It just makes it more difficult with left hand to reach around and have great control. I love the ngal

in a wartime setting u replace the battery before every mission set, just like with eotechs, lights and nods
@LicentiaArmsCo2 жыл бұрын
exactly, which is why the battery cap is a touch point worth mentioning. Having to remove a laser or flashlights makes battery changes challenging.

On the NGAL, you can buy an AA battery cap and use AA batteries. Just another opition.

I get the impression that there is a direct correlation between non-governmental LE agencies (most of those like myself) that watch this video and masturbation. At least with the latter one gets pleasure, while with the form you get frustrated at how stupid our laws really are. All this information is nothing but an exercise in futility if, as in this case, the bottom line is: "you can't have it!"

I don’t understand why they’re so much more expensive than a Surefire IR illuminator. What is making them so expensive. Someone enlighten me.
@han6211 Жыл бұрын
The difference is in the range. Surefire Vampires use a fairly unfocused IR LED to provide illumination. This provides a very wide cone of illumination and a lot of spill. This is good for a visible light flashlight, but for night vision, the wide cone and spill is actually undesirable, since it means objects close to you will be caught in the spill and likely splash back the majority of illumination towards you instead of your target, which can easily autogate your NODs, making the entire scene darker and defeating the point of the illuminator. Not to mention it gives your position away, since you're lighting up your surroundings like a chirstmas tree. On the other hand, these units use monochromatic and coherent lasers, to produce a very tight beam/cone of illumination, so when properly zeroed, you can illuminate your target without having any unneccesary spill onto your surroundings. The concentration of the illumination cone also means that for the same output, you get significantly further reach compared to a Vampire. There is an exception to this, with the Steiner DBAL D2, which has a dedicated LED focusing assembly to produce possibly one of the strongest illuminators without resorting to using lasers. Look up pictures of it however, and its bloated housing kinda explains why it isn't really a viable product outside of the civillian LAM market.
