Who knows, wilcox certainly isn't going to give you a real estimate. They've made it clear the low power version isn't in the same ballpark as their highest priority. Your best bet is the pony up the extra $1000-1500 and get a FP. Unless you need the low power version for a specific reason.

@@arcuz7862 actually wilcox is known for fixing fp units even if its sent in by a civilian. In fact a while ago they got in trouble for it. It's Christmas ya scrooge, lighten up. If people want to buy fp units, then that's their right. Go buy shitty chinese lams yourself, that's your right.

Great video, glad you guys deep-dove into the workings. A couple of things people may have struggled with: the battery cap is like a medicine bottle, push in and then turn. Don't just try and turn. Also, the original instructions showed some side screws being used with the visor plate. I was never able to get those side screws to work and I was wondering if it was going to be implemented here (which they weren't). Trying to get the side screws to work just resulted in a cracked visor plate for me.

No- near IR is the actual wavelength that “IR lasers/illuminators” use. Its the same thing

Widening the IL during activation causes there to be a hexagon shaped silhouette in the center of the throw. Is that normal? I can’t seem to get rid of it.

Why does mine constantly eat the battery? I’ll finish training and leave it in the safe for 2 days come back and it’s dead. And no I’m not leaving the laser on or anything like that. Is there a way to fully power down the unit to prevent this?
