La Bataille du Rail - Le train grue (141 C 133)

Extrait du film de René Clément « La Bataille du Rail » (1946), mettant en scène ici le sabotage du train grue. On y voit de très belles images d’une locomotive type Mikado État, avec abri blindé, la 141 C 133, curieusement immatriculée au dépôt de Chambon (Chambon n’étant qu’une petite gare sans dépôt !). Selon André Lepage, il est probable qu’elle porte ce nom de dépôt car elle aurait pu séjourner dans cette gare pendant le tournage du film.

Mon oncle était chargé du train grue à Amberieu qui a servit pendant la 2ème guerre mondiale. A cette époque elle ne rouillait pas sur une voie ferrée car les maquisards menaient la vie dure au Allemand qui pouvaient devenir fou de rage lorsque 52 locomotives furent terrassés dans le dépôt d'Amberieu. Pour la grue c'était beaucoup plus simple que s'il y avait eu 52 déraillements. Elle est restée morte de rire à côté de 52 locomotives qui ne pouvaient plus avancer de 1 mètres. Bravo les maquisards de véritables intelligents heros.

Like you I travelled a lot by steam train as a child. Several times a year from Glasgow to Aberdeen in Scotland. The distance was about 150 miles or 240 kilometres. That trip took 3 hours. Admittedly, those trains were pulled by A4 Pacific locomotives - the fastest steam locomotives ever.

Chambon : on voit que ce marquage est "propre", comparé à celui de la 141C, "sale" fait au pochoir. A priori, les 2 mentions auraient dû être faites ensemble lors d' une révision. En plus, si le dépôt de Chambon n' existe pas... sauf pour les besoins du film, où en fait (sf les connaisseurs du rail...) l' action n' est pas située formellement. On a bien des 141R au dépôt, de mémoire, au moment de la scène des otages...
