I have been using this foundation for about two weeks and I find that if I moisturize a bit extra and work in small sections, I get the best results. It just dries down super fast (reminds me of revlon colorstay). Great lasting power though!

Ashley S. It seems thinner though is it? I find the revlon can get caky looking fast and you must apply a thin layer. Was this a thinner consistency?

It’s a pretty thick consistency when you pump it out and I could see this going cakey if you build it up (like the colorstay). For me, this one has enough coverage on the first go around, but everyone’s coverage needs vary. I really like it but with that said, I like revlon colorstay too so take it with a grain of salt! Ashley S. Hmm okay. I like a little coverage and building where I need it. But find on my 40 year old skin. The thicker ones don’t look good on my mini starter kit of fine lines. And my 11’s just, well... look 👀 highlighted. So I may hold back. But I love the color. I’m very fair and that tone looks so nice. It’s hard finding light colored foundation. 🤔it does seem to sheer out, though. thanks for the information!! 😉

I agree on the shade, I wear nc10/lightest shades in almost every foundation and I actually mix one drop of a darker luminous foundation with this one. I’m trying out the new Flower beauty light illusion foundation today because I heard it is forgiving on more mature/dry skin so fingers crossed!

Ashley S. I had the exact same thought. That it was drying down too fast and she needed to work in smaller sections. Some Pro matte foundations with really good oil control will do that. But working in small sections really seems to solve the problem.

Elf’s powder bush is 12.00 and extremely soft and the Wet and wild pro is just 7.99 on their sight but in drug store you can always find sales and possibly get it for less. 😉

I discovered this a couple months ago and I love this product! I went back and bought 6 more bottles.... For me it blends well and I have dry skin and it sits nicely on my skin. Wears all day at my job and I work in a non temperature controlled environment. I would recommend this ....

Loving your hair color recently!! I like the more strawberry blonde coming through. I love the fire red too, but the softer strawberry blonde is just so soft and pretty with your eyes and your skin and complexion. I can't remember if you've ever done a video for like the best drugstore makeup that is like the holy grail in your collection for oily skin. I have a friend who is oily and has a hard time finding products that work for acne and oily prone skin. I have seen a bunch of oily friendly makeup reviews and products in the past, but would be great to have one video with all of it in one spot. Hi Zabrena! I couldn’t find this foundation in the store and finally ordered it from Amazon. This makes color matching challenging, so I ended up getting the lightest color, knowing it would be too light. When I received it, I did apply it to half of my face and loved it. By the time it dried, it really had a ‘suede’ feeling to the touch. I did end up mixing it with a Becca foundation that was too dark, and they worked perfect together. If I could find a L.A. Girl color match to my skin, I would wear it every day instead of my Urban Decay! ❤️

Zabrena! You def need to check out the Hard Candy hydrating primer mist as an alternative to fix+. That stuff is $8 and chock full of glycerin. Takes away ANY powderiness! A staple in my collection.

Love this foundation!! Like Zabrena, I have MAJORLY oily skin. I did use Too Faced HangoveRx primer and setting spray with it. I wore it to work, in a warehouse that gets very hot. I was sweating all day, wiping my face, and IT STAYED IN PLACE for over 12 hours. This foundation is magic!!!!

Thank you, thank you for making these videos! I love them! I have pretty severe Rosacea and love the L.A. Girl foundations. It covers my redness so well. I highly recommend it for those who need that type of coverage. I don’t have issues with it being patchy but I do find it will break my skin out if I fail to wash it off after a full day. There are other brands that I can sleep in and not breaks out (I know! I know! I shouldn’t do that) No matter how tired you are, always take this brand off before bed! That really is the only negative that I found though.

I’m impressed with the fairest and darkest shades this comes in for a drugstore foundation. Like you, I am pigmently challenged 😂 L’Oréal True Match in Porcelain W1 is about as close as it gets for me in wintertime for drugstore- otherwise it’s Nars Siberia, and I have to warm it up a touch. Seems like this line has a big shade jump between the one you used and the next lightest one though- I guess for this price it’s not that bad if you have to play mixologist! Hope my highly pigmented ladies have success with this, too! The struggle is real!!

This is so funny because I JUST bought that foundation AND the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer today! That never happens! Usually, I buy makeup based on my favorite KZbinrs' (like you or Thataylaa) or my friends' recommendations, but today I chose these two products - both the L.A. Girl Pro Matte Foundation and the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer, on my own, on a whim. Well, no, not on a whim exactly. I wasn't looking for these specific products, but I was looking for the right shade-match for my skin, and these matched me the best out of everything else I tried at Ulta (though I will have to return the Maybelline concealer because I like my concealer to be lighter than my skintone a bit, and the shade I got from Ulta today is my exact skintone, and apparently they just released a new, lighter shade of it recently, so that's the one I want to get instead). This foundation is literally the ONLY ONE that matches my Morticia-level paleness and my neck's neutral undertones (my face, on the other hand, is cool toned with plenty of pink and red to it, naturally, because why make anything easy for me when it comes to foundation searching?). I am still playing around with this foundation. It doesn't emphasize texture TOO MUCH on me, per se, but my e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation does an even better job of hiding my pores (well, of sitting pretty and not emphasizing them anyway - there's no hiding those ginormous craters, sadly). The e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation is still a full shade too dark on me though, even in its newest and lightest shade of Light Ivory - not quite light enough, Ms. Light Ivory). I think I'm going to try to mix these two foundations together tomorrow, the L.A. Girl Pro Matte and the e.l.f. Flawless Finish, and see what happens. I'm hoping the L.A. Girl will lighten the e.l.f. one enough to match my neck, and that the e.l.f. one will improve the texture so that the combo doesn't emphasize the pores at all. With me luck! Btw, I think we're the same exact skintone! I got the Ivory shade in the L.A. Girl foundation as well!

It looks great on you. I bought it yeaterday and used it for the first time today, I used the wet n wild dewy primer under my foundation and it looked beautiful for 8 plus hours of house hunting. I have dry skin and this really surprised me because I usually have separation and cakeyness with matte foundations but not the case.

Nothing like MAC fix+ I have yet to find anything that works as good. This foundation wasn’t bad. The lightest shade wasn’t light enough, so I mix it with their white mixer. It did oxidize on me. And I use the farsali unicorn Essense for primer. I’m going to try some other primers to see if I can cut down on the oxidizing.
