i live here ok so windansea is where you wanna go but if your trying to surf avoid it by the shack where the locals will like beat you up,the swimming is amazing with coral reefs, cliffs to jump off into the water, but hard to access. really good just to walk around and take some photos. best food go to oscars fish taco or bahia don bravo in bird rock. the lot a movie theater where u can order food during the food is amazing just its pricy- perfect for date night. Mainly theres so much places to explore and swim you'll love it

Seal be each was purposely put there so their would be any sunbathers there I think that Casa old age home must have had something to do with that great sunbathing place I use to live on Coast Blvd S before the rents changed to astronomical prices they took movie house out Saks fifth not there anymore some of restaurants are gone George's is the best I think go eat on top dukes us good UTC is good place to shop too I miss living there so much I'm here in Bklyn ny. I hate it now NYC is awful not fin place. If you live in so ca don't leave. No matter what if you can still afford to live there.

La Hoya looks like a lovely place but why do americans not americanize the name and spell it phonetically in english so we can ALL pronounce the place-name properly? i mean, all outsiders callit La Jolla!!!

It's called la jolla it means the gem in English
