@@lianasoares8052 Hes basically saying the character has a huge ego because even when he is ordered around, he tells himself and mia that he is being ordered around only because he doesn't mind it. Which is to say, if he didn't wanna do something the band leader asked him to do, he wouldn't do it. This attitude comes from a sense of superiority he feels from being a jazz musician and the others in the band not being as technically trained as he is. He is able to talk like this only because he has a huge ego. Good day!
