I've been learning this, and that section is actually relatively easy it only consists of four different notes (but it totally LOOKS intimidating). The trickiest part I have gotten to so far is 1:37 - I cannot play this at full tempo for the life of me.

Fun fact: I quit piano 3 or 4 years ago but watching La La land and hearing Sebastian and Mia’s theme somewhat inspired me. Also for the fact Ryan Gosling just learned this and didn’t even need a stunt double to help inspired me and this was the first song I played in 4 years. I practiced really hard and achieved my goal and it made me realize I want to start learning again.

Did you notice that the notes of bar 139 and 140 on the sheet are bit different as how the musician played in his demo video? I love how in mia & seb's theme, there's a part for each person. The higher notes represent mia and the lower ones represent seb. But in epilogue, only the lower notes are played. And after a period of bittersweet memories, seb returns to the present, being bitter all over again. They both got what they want except each other. Damn i love this

I'm impressed by how little of this uses common meter. And even then, it's not like you simply used 3/4 and 6/4, which are common enough alternatives. This actually goes through stuff like 9/8 and 27/16, and switches meters very frequently. In a world where almost all pop music is in 4/4, that's incredibly impressive.

This is honestly amazing, you're a really superb musician. The arrangement is so neat and beautiful, you can tell the passion you have for music in both your performance and your arranging. Wow... after discovering this a few minutes ago and listening to it 2 or 3 times, I can only say: huge respect for this amazing cover, it just takes all of the awesome piano parts of the movie all at once. Sad story that I can't play the piano, because I would love to attempt this arrangement... nothing to be done for it, but I can still listen to your version which is already perfect. Just WOW!! Amazing Job!

Francesco Schmitt You should try to play piano if you’re still interested after all these months. I was in the same situation as you but finally decided to get one. The one I’m getting is a Yamaha P 115, it’s good for starters like us :)

Guys if you have small fingers, you can still play it 💯!!! I have small hands and a tiny pinky finger (yess, 5cm. Ik really small😅). And I am almost finishing this piece. You can do it!!! Hard work pays off!!. I also, at some point learned Moonlight sonata 3rd movement and I have tiny hands. Nothing is Impossible guys. You can play the Song regradless 😎🙏✨

I am so jealous and grateful at the same time. Wow! I just bought myself a Kawai KDP120 in order to learn to play the instrument by myself. It is so challenging coordinating both hands and in addition to that reading notes is a pain in the butt for a beginner like me. I’m not giving up by any stretch of the imagination though. I hope I’ll be able to play this piece one day. Might take me 10 years or 15 or 20. IT.DOES.NOT.MATTER.
