For anyone who think he speeds up videos: -He has nearly doubled the required hours to reach “expert” level for a skill, so he should be able to play quite a bit faster than whatever speed seems “normal”. -Imagine working on a project for multiple hours a day-just to have people claim it’s fake/sped up when you finally master it. -Have some respect for someone who has dedicated 19+ years to a craft for your listening enjoyment. Maybe its time to bring back the little bobble head or a wall clock so you don’t have to deal with stuff like this! Keep on jammin’ Kyle

WOW!! This is, in many ways, the performance of my arrangement that was previously only in my imagination. My original cover was pushing the limits of what I could play so I had to mostly focus on just hitting all the notes. It is fascinating to listen to the ways you expanded and added on more material, and inspiring to hear the smoothness that you played with to truly bring out the emotion of the piece. There were so many parts where I was just thinking, YES! (3:44 - so much energy! 5:00 - those were the kinds of runs I originally had in mind!) It is my goal to one day be able to play like this...thank you for being an inspiration to both myself, and I'm sure, countless other pianists out there!

Hey Kyle, I'm sitting here listening to this with my son when he asks me " do you know him?" .... I never put much thought into it until now, but I just realized I've been listening to you since my high school years. I've listened to you on my good and bad days. I listened to you the day my son was born , and on a very long, lonesome ride home from my dad's funeral. So no.. I don't know you and you don't know me, but you have been apart of my life for 6 years without me ever realizing. Keep on playing, you are truly amazing at what you do ♥️♥️♥️.

Kyle, Im not gonna lie. You are the reason I started piano two years ago at 26 yrs old. I loved every composition youve made. My first song from you was Merry Go round of life. Im now two years in and feeling a little bit more courage to start learning more intense sheet music. Im currently trying to learn Merry Go Round of life from the original sheet music along with this song - which this is my holy grail of playing right now. I wish you the best - behind my father, you are my role model for piano playing. I think I cried as I followed along to you playing with the sheet music. Best to you.

What I absolutely definitely really like about you Kyle is, that you actually put passion and show it... I've seen very few pianist KZbinrs (youtuber pianists?) who actually play with their... well everything... With their soul and not like robots... Or like only hand moving...and worrying about doing it "perfect", and they don't look like having fun at all...... But you look absolutely like "I don't care if i mess up, i'm having the time of my life", for real... One thing is playing nicely, no mistakes and all that jazz... and other things is playing nicely and passionately... And again... There are very few pianist on youtube that show the passion... That's why you and vikagoeswild are my favourite youtuber pianists (pianist youtubers?) Keep that up Kyle! (:
@LetsPlayerAbo25 жыл бұрын
I won't blame the people who THINK it's sped up just because 3:42 really does look unnatural. But think about it for a moment. He suddenly increases keys per second and the music picks up an incredibly fast pace in mere seconds. It's obvious that his hands do have to move faster. Now to his body movement, if you pay attention throughout the video you notice that he will move his body and bop his head according to the pace of the music and according to how strong or light he has to hit the keys. He is FEELING the music while playing. I believe that he is a very hard-working pianist with much passion to boot, don't blame him if he doesn't have a 60fps camera since that's not what we here for. Keep doing what you're doing, Kyle. 'been your loyal listener for years, greeting from Austria!
@kylelandry5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support! believe it or not, I've tried 60fps (my old camera even had it) and to be honest, it's not meant for piano videos. It truly made it look sped up, even had me thinking like what?! -- I do 30 frames in 4k now :)
@kylelandry5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support, but to be fair, I did have 60fps back then, and I chose not to use it because people accused me of speeding things up even more when I do 60 frames because it really looks unnatural with 60. Now that I have a nicer camera, 30fps 4k is best and it looks so much more natural.

@@i_flawlesschris22 True that Koreans have a lot of other subjects to study. In fact they study so hard they rank the top in global international exams.
