I'm a cello player, and today I tried playing with a group of more advanced players. My teacher told me to leave, and that this class was for good player unlike me. I'll make sure to remember those words... others laughed at me for what he had said. I cared less because I know one day I'll be successful. This is just a quick note... to not let people stop you from what you love doing.
@paulaschmaula8 жыл бұрын
lestra402 well said! The music world can be cruel, but the only thing that matters is your love for your instrument and your will to get better. Ignore rude people like that, everybody improves at their own pace. So, good luck and always remember to enjoy and that hard practice pays off! 🍀🍀😊😊

You go lestra402!!! One day you'll make them eat their words. As a cello player, I know that since you already have a great attitude, you just need to keep practicing and try your best. Don't let anyone get you down, give it time and you'll show them what you're capable of. 😉

Verena Breitfuß I guess it's also the same with artist that draw very well but don't hold the pen the correct way.
@thunderbirdice8 жыл бұрын
Verena Breitfuß it's true but for their skills, they maybe playing with bad posture for a long time. It's a bit like evolution or adaptation where their hand is used a posture that it's not really painful. Just like everyone has their own way of walking. If you look carefully at each person walking, we all varies. Some people will get pain while others do not.
@thunderbirdice8 жыл бұрын
Verena Breitfuß I have no idea how he should be holding the bow. In another comment, he said that he is holding the bow correctly. Idk.
@nicholasdyee8 жыл бұрын
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on the bow hold. My fingers are quite 'double-jointed', so the way I hold the bow is partly a result of me not being able to relax my fingers in certain positions that other people are able to. I am fairly used to it by now, and I know that there are certain limitations to holding the bow this way that I have to get around by using other methods. That being said, other cellists that I know have different variations of bow hold amongst them, and I don't think I've ever said that one of them is more "correct" than any other.

What is interesting is the tune is sooo simple. Yet people like it's simplicity. It is unlike music in other musicals that is just overly extravagant. Euhhh I guess I will also add that the house this piece is played in is lovely. I love the geometry of the wooden shingles and other wood. I also love the purity of all white walls. Very good.

I'm talking about the same. Engagement Party is like a piano version of Someone in the crowd. Go to a Someone in the crowd video and start playing at 1:27

No, Secretly, at 1:27 they're still playing the Planetarium theme, which is noted as coming on at 1:10. --You can see the song titles come on the lower left of the screen. The titles are small, and easy to miss. --Again, Engagement Party comes on at 4:36. You'll see the song title notation in in the lower left screen. Someone in the Crowd is nothing like Engagement Party. You need to see the movie again. I've seen it 5 times.
