My husband Nicolas worked there in approximately 1979-1982 before migrating to the USA. It was a plant for DuPont. The plant buildings are on the left. The building with orange roof beams was a school. Families lived there, over 1K people worked there. The buildings by red truck were homes for the engineers. Farther to the right are those small homes and one was a store called “La Tinaja” with Don Pedrito. He’d have beers in barrels of water and would cool them by spraying them with propane gas. Many people from our hometown, Múzquiz Coahuila and various parts of Mexico worked there.

Was someone still living there?

I saw people stripping roofing material from homes, so must be pretty close to abandoned.
