1. The star in the eye represents the singer/entertainer's "idol power" in Oshi no Ko. The main characters' mother who was a popular idol had bright stars in both her eyes. 2. Polka's lore is just her own as a circus ringleader. The rest of Gen 5 has their own lore: Botan was a disillusioned street urchin from "Gang Town", Nene is an alien from the planet Tao Tao, and Lamy is an over 200-yr-old half-snow elf ojou-sama who wanted to escape her sheltered upbringing.
