La Mer v. Auteur- Which One Is Better? | LUXURY SKINCARE

In my opinion between the two of these brands Auteur wins all day long !!! Starting with there customer service being top notch , the fact that you can purchase a discovery set before jumping into the full size products, packaging and the Auteur products are loaded with ingredients that work to help with anti-aging. I have tried both these brands and with Lamer never saw results . Even with giving it lots of time to do its magic and still nothing. With Auteur I saw results within three weeks. My skin type for reference is acne prone, combination leaning more oily, enlarged pores and texture and def sunspots. I am 41 with slight visible signs of aging especially around my eyes . I do feel if your skin is very dry that you might not find the Auteur skincare line moisturizing enough.

What do you think about the short expiration date of Auetur products? I’ve not really seen anyone talking about that. I have 2 Auetur products that both expire after 6 months which I’m not impressed with. I love La Mer cause even though they are expensive most of their products last for 2 years so I think it’s worth it as you’re not having to spend ridiculous amounts of money every 6 months.

I wish they would warn us before the reformulate products. LaMer will always be my go to fixer. It has solved so many problems I had with my super sensitive, super dehydrated and dry skin.....including eczema, hyperpigmentation, and now with pregnancy melasma. As a luxury skincare addict, there is nothing better. Do I have to incorporate other brands for specific items, yes. La Mer is what it is and that is consistent. They are without fail, 80% of skin routine. Though Cle De Peau and Sisley have their place, and some other items in the line up. Thank you for all you do! AND not having tunnel vision.

I did dabble into Lamer in the past, but the few things I’ve tried it was just ok. I didn’t think too much of it. Yeah, it feels nice, but that’s it. There are other cremes that feel just as nice. The auteur brand I’m willing to pay because it’s just as you mentioned. The ingredients are effective.

What do you think about Auetur’s 6 months products expiry date? In the past I loved La Mer cause their products last for 2 years so even though pricey it was worth it. Not sure about Auetur now

I was a skeptic with La mer . After trying crème de La mer, I experienced the magic.

This is so funny I found your video that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m trying line serum and density cream and it’s not enough for me so I put the Lamire moisturizing cream top of it because with auteur I feel dry skin. which means no matter what I’m going to try in the future, Lé mer will be always number one and the rescue moisturizer for me.

I’m so sad La mer has gotten rid of so many of my favorites! I started using the gel cleanser after watching your videos and my skin has never been better! I don’t know what I will do without it, the oil exfoliator and micellar water 😢

La Mer seems to be in the midst of reformulating several of their products. I keep seeing ads for newer versions of their products cross my Facebook feed. I've been underwhelmed by their peels (the micro peel and their latest exfoliating fluid). Never tried Auteur and I don't see much about them?

La mer to me is done. I learned a lot with Dr. Vanita Rattan, she really teached us the whole real deal of the Ingredients, and how read and really understand what this expensive labels put on their "luxury creams" and that changed the game completely for me. La mer lacks innovation and true advanced actives, they are just hidration + a good fragance and thats it.

I don’t think many ppl care about La Mer anymore. I think ppl realized there are far too many greater products out there to splurge on it. Not to mention it’s packed with fragrance & skin irritants. There’s probably a good reason why they feel the need to reformulate their products to get the attention back. Clean, effective, and sustainable skincare is the new luxurious.
