what's the diffference between a p865 and a p2020 (Aside that they originated on different lines before moving to the blue/expo lines)?

No differences just there fleet numbers. In the 90s LA Metro named the model as P2020 #153 to #168.

I prefer LA high floor trains over the newer low floor ones like in Phoenix. They prevent jaywalking etc.
