At my age,, I'm not sure I like any year anymore. It means one more candel on the cake with a load full of luggage. Digging out in winter,, looking for shade or snow,, in the heat of summer. If we could just have a little of both all mixed up together,, I'd hate that too😂

The Hunga-tunga under ocean volcanic explosion blew massive amounts of ocean water into the stratosphere-and will take a while to precipitate back down to earth. So the odd floods in the desert and elsewhere maybe due to that precipitation of all of that extra water up there. Can the extra water in the stratosphere be seen from the space station? Could the extra water in the stratosphere filter the sunlight enough to cause the weakened El nińo?-will that extra water in the stratosphere cause another strong La Niña?-or is that stratospheric water precipitating out soon? 🤷‍♀️ lots of questions-

Hi Michael. Just curious about the PDO. It’s in it’s cold phase currently and it’s believed to have kept this year’s El Niño in the moderate values. I.E. the pause this past year warming in 3.4. What’s you’re feeling on it’s effects on a building La Niña? Or is the PDO moving to its warm phase. Thanks
@PacificNorthwestWeather
@PacificNorthwestWeather Ай бұрын
Studying up now, but the PDO is tougher to forecast and its effects more difficult to quantify

Well, Boss, just as long as we don’t get another heat dome! I’m also still concerned with the drought maps. The trees have not been happy coming into spring and just don’t look quite right. Drought stress accumulates year to year. The trees’ immune systems decline and bark beetles and fungal disease move in. And the entire forest goes down. Great work!
@timkasten343
@timkasten343 Ай бұрын
@@PacificNorthwestWeather agreed. Since it’s cycle is 20 - 30 years. Mark at Stormsurf has been been a mentor for Pacific Ocean and Sierra mountains forecasting for years now for me. He discussed recently how it may have affected the last El Niño. Any information I can absorb to better understand is appreciated! Thanks for your time and your channel. Watch it pretty much daily.
