Il grico si parla nelle aree tuttora dette grecaniche. È antico ed estinto nelle altre aree del Sud, dove si è parlato fino a qualche secolo fa.

Klama is a Griko poem about emigration set to music. Ciao a tutti 😊, sono nuova sul vostro canale e ascoltavo la canzone di Mengoni..mai sentita prima. Non capivo l'italiano, pur essendo italiana, e non riuscivo a collegarlo a nessun dialetto regionale. Dopo una piccola ricerca sul web, ho scoperto solo oggi che nel Salento parlano un idioma simile al greco. Incredibile come non si smetta mai di imparare! Volevo farvi i complimenti, siete una coppia molto sensibile e dolce, è un piacere guardarvi.

Beh si ..qui dalle mie parti in alcuni paesi si parla un lingua simile al greco...detta Griko..se non sbaglio sono 11 i paesi della Grecía salentina ...su 98 comuni ..quindi è rara,pensa che io che sono di un paese a 20 km non capisco un parola 😂

Comunque anche il salentino non è italiano, i cosiddetti "dialetti" sono lingue regionali a sé stanti che con l'italiano hanno in comune solo la matrice neolatina (proprio come francese, spagnolo, catalano etc...)

Mi permetto di correggerti, il dialetto in questione è Salentino non Calabrese , parliamo del Griko, mentre il Grecanico è Calabrese.Piccole distinzioni tra fratelli del Mediterraneo e della Magna Grecia.

This song is in ancient greek. There is an event each year named "la notte della Taranta" in the south east of italy, the region named Puglia, the tac of Italy, at the end of the tac. In this area even today some villages speak the griko, that is a mix of ancient greek and local language. When the south of italy was Magna Graecia, when the greek conqueror came to colonize the south of italy. 😊

Mengoni non canta in italiano ma in greco. In alcuni paesi del Salento si parla ancora in greco. La Taranta è una musica e un ballo che ha origini antiche, nel mondo contadino, ed era una terapia per curare psico patologie di disadattamento, soprattutto di giovani donne, che vivevano con particolare disagio le regole imposte da una società patriarcale.
