I like this sling pack. I use it for work and just going around town. Extra mags for work, too. Its a happy median soo far on being lite without sacrificing alot of organization

One more ‘hidden feature on this bag are the ‘rip-down pockets ‘behind’ the exterior water bottle pockets. Definitely could be considered ‘tourniquet’ pockets. They don’t significantly impose on the water bottle pockets. Also, the water bottle pockets do have an elastic strap that can be pulled over the top of your bottle(s), or can be used as a tether point if your bottle has a loop.

I have used the LAPG terrain sling for 2 years as a bike commuting bag (10 mile ride). I also use the rear compartment mostly for my laptop. It is a great bag (I’d say water resistant), and it takes some getting used to how to use the available organization. It would be great to have some kind of semi-rigid frame to hold the compartment in shape, which I think would help a lot with the funky zipper action. That is probably the biggest drawback.

Crazy this just popped up lol. I bought it and soon as I took it out the package, it was a no go. The bag itself doesn’t feel durable at all. The zippers suck on it. I didn’t even take the tags off. I have the other vertx slings and this doesn’t even come close. Now I do have some lapg bangs that are almost the same as 5.11. Love those. Even went down on my scooter at 40mph and the backpack saved me from a lot of damage and still holds up. But this sling wasn’t for me.

A solution to the zippers on the main compartment could be to keep them on one side so they are directly in front of you when you swing the bag around, and maybe you don't need to open the whole beaver tail

My only grip is the shoulder strap top attachment point should of been 2” webbing not 1” to a 1” d ring for the very nice shoulder pad good thing is . That is easy to modify to 2”

Thank you for showing and mentioning ccw, myself, my older kids, my wife, are all in law enforcement and carry off duty. My wife only carries off body or in a bag when at the gym. I do so when I need to carry and have stuff too, while being dressed much lighter for nv, az, nm, tx carry! I also carry diapers and other grandpa duty (dooty 💩 hehe) stuff. This sling bag is perfect size and compartmentalized sections. If lapg is looking. Please off variant with sterile no branding outside. Ive had people google brands they saw on bags while in public and been asked if I have a weapon inside. All have mentioned they were wondering as the brand name was visible like maxpedition, etc Ive found bags that have a sep laptop or tablet compartment like alpaka sling bags, that ive used to ccw and bags dont look tactical or have brand markinga showing. My wife uses alpaka as well for the ability to use loop velc on interior and the fact we can carry tablets and etc in that compartment or in the middle compartments have been a plus...

I wish this design was used for a backpack VS a sling. This reminds me of eberlestock

Commenting before I watch the whole thing...but I may have just squeed at water bottle pockets on a sling....😍 A win for us ADHD people who need two (or more) different drinks at all times.

Wow this is actually priced to a point where it tries to pull you away from Vertex. I don’t know how the quality compares to my Vertex Transit but I might give it a try, it looks like it was made to compete with the commuter… sort of

yeah - the price is the killer feature here.

Sadly it’s only 100 cheaper than the VERDX equivalent in Australia

Excellent review. I really like the features in this bag. I love your great reviews but bad for my wallet.

This with it's utilization and price is so tempting. I was thinking of getting the Nomatic Navigator 10L Sling for the same reason. Is the main compartment of the Nomatic larger than the CCW compartment of this LAPG bag?
@ThePerfectBag Жыл бұрын
Yes / the main compartment of the navigator is much larger than the CCW compartment of this sling - but this sling has multiple compartments
@TopDonBarrow Жыл бұрын
@@ThePerfectBag This sling has way more compartments than what I need for daily carry. I considered the Vertx Transit and Commuter 2.0 but they're kind of thick and I don't need that thickness. That's why I'm considering the Nomatic sling because it's slimmer. If it can fit something 16 inches long in its main compartment, I'm pulling the trigger on the Nomatic for sure. Thank you for the response.
