Thank you 🙏. I believe the Shabu Shabu broth is for cooking only and has a sweet savoury flavour but the broth is not meant for consuming on its own. more of a Japanese style. Hotpot has a different style and choices of broths…. That’s my best guess😁

That was a lot of protein. It all looked so delicious. Like everything about a shabu meal except the raw egg. It's a textural thing for me. Can't even do the classic loose French style scrambled egg. Interesting you both liked the flavor of the silver level beef. Blessings from a cloudy Oregon.

41:42 Tim n Dan, what a feast. Duck liver looked great. Bone marrow, I recall on rare occasion my Mother would get some marrow bones from the butcher we put it on butter garlic toast. Abalone is something that I have not tried being from midwest USA. Great looking food. Either it was you gentleman or me. I noted that you both became more animated as the Sapporo levels went down in your mugs. I, as usual, am working puzzles as I watch. Today I am having Caribbean Rhum over ice with fresh lime squeezed in. My dinner will shortly be pulled smoked pork fired up my grill with added applewood smoke. Doesn't compare with your & Dan's Excellent Feast. Food and Life needs to be enjoyed...

LA's explosion of "premium" wagyu is a joke and anyone who say otherwise is a fraud. in a blind taste test, 9 out of 10 would not be able to tell if those spots swap out wagyu for just plain standard cut of beef, esp in dishes like shabu shabu or hot pot
