Tasty tasty playing Mike, as ever. Happy new year and thanks for all the great content. I don't have the folding for a Tyler Dann Huff Studio HD but after your demo I dropped in three series/split/parallel switches in my HSH Nitefly and have been having fun with the smorgasbord of new tones from my Duncan Parallel Axis pups. I think Dann would have enjoyed this Zuta head back in the day. I'm getting Silver Jubilee era Satch vibes from the tone. Thanks for the inspiration.

Love that intro! The tweak ability of this amp is nice. As for reamping, well I think we have all found ways of doing it with what we have, for many years. So at the price point, it’s not for everyone and doesn’t do enough to warrant GAS. Still, great demo!

Yeah, I never said, "affordable" 🤣. But it's like guitars. a $7000 PRS isn't that much different than a $500 PRS. BUT, if the feature set, and looks and exclusivity resonate with a player, and bring them joy and inspiration, it's worth every penny.

This reminds me that I need to figure out an affordable reamping solution for demonstrating guitars into multiple Synergy modules without spending weeks recording takes. I figure I can run the guitars through my Radial BigShot ABY into my Focusrite interface, using the direct output for the interface and the transformer output to my SYN-30 for some live feedback, but I need to know whether the Walrus Audio Canvas is a suitable substitute for the old, reliable Radial Reamp JCR.
@BigHairyGuitars
@BigHairyGuitars 7 ай бұрын
The Canvas is more designed to go the other direction. Taking a low level and lifting it to a balanced signal to a mixer or converter interface. I wouldn’t recommend it for a reamper. Radial makes great products for that.

Not sure why they bother with such a substandard sounding analog IR set up. Money and resources towards a feature that no one is going to use and go “yeah, that’s the ticket”. Digital IR’s are just too prevalent and available, with a much better result.

@@BigHairyGuitars it’s a nice sounding amp. I’ve owned Ecstasy’s before but never explored plexi mode much. Do Bogner’s react the same way to goosing the Master as this did for plexi mode? I see this company looks like it had a design hand in with either the Atma or Ecstasy 25? People on here complaining about price but it’s European, not Asian made (cost perspective, not quality perspective) and plenty of folks charging more for what is basically a Vox or Fender combo with 4 knobs.

@@SkooraI know there was a Bogner crossover at some point, but I don't really know the story there. The Bogner Plexi mode works similarly. But it's hard to get the 100w up to volume to really get the amp cooking. The Bogner 35w dont' have a plexi mode, but you can crank the clean channel, and it sorta does the same thing as well.
