Does the LAAL transient section making the Elysia Envelope obsolete in your chain?

In most cases, yes. However, sometimes the elysia comes in very handy.

so in a 24 track analog recording studio a big board environment tracking to 24 trk 24bit radar tape machine ,. in general its going to be eq to tape Q up and Q out or down 300 hrts thats cut sum mids as your going to be stacking tracks your going to be boosting EQ once it returns from the tape machine im talking tracking now , your going to be running all your out board compressors compressing to tape // so my point is this 2 points ,. 1.. why not run this limiter to tape wile tracking ,. 2,.. is your going to use it over the master mix out as a final stage in your mix down SO also why not then run 2 of them in that situation your master mix will run threw 2 of them and then having both units for tracking having 4 tracks worth of limiters to be used ,. example your doing a tracking session so use 4 tracks both limiters tracking to tape on the drums ,. run them on all the bass mics and direct if you have 10 bass mics bus them down then threw the limiter ,. guitars same , vocals track threw the limiter ect ect / then your building limiter tracks into your tape machine then your mixing all that with more out board gear and a board YET its sounding pretty beefy all ready as you have treated the sound every step of the way ,. and then again your running your master mix out threw 2 of them ,. thats my theory on the subject ,.. and it going to be use the crap out of it even if its just kissing the sgnal its still running threw it fatting things up, its track to tape threw it to build up limiter tracks and stack 2 of them on top of each other just kissing over the master mix out also use the best compressor in the world as well EQ ,. this way your compressing eq,ing limiting and limiting ,. so your mastering in the final stage of your mix ,. and also buy there recording console as it seems like 2be the absolute best ,,in the world, low noise floor, . thats my theory on it ,.
