Buster is a lab who is obsessed with swimming. Everytime his human brother jumps in, he is right behind him going bellyflops. Jackson will give Buster piggybacks in the pool and they love playing with his water gun. Buster's love for water has gotten his older Lab brother Scooby to join the party as well. Seeing the three of them together living their best life brings nothing but joy to Jennifer's life

Yes, they are cute. At first I thought they were meant to keep him from slipping when running on the wet tiles around the pool, or to improve his swimming ability ... but seeing how he acts in the pool, I now believe he wears them so the little boy's chest and back aren't turned into minced meat from Buster's claws.

Labs are definitely the best. My wife and I had four labs over 40 years, greatest companions and support animals. Our last lab was actually my wife's psychiatric service dog, even though all for provided that service. They enrich your life more than you could ever have imagined.!!!

I think part of Buster's behavior besides a love of water is guarding behavior toward the boy. He does remind me of a polar bear when it's just his head above the water. :)

My German Shepherd was terrified of water, UNTIL, I plopped her in and in about 2seconds she went from “DEAR GOD I’M DYING” to “I AM NEVER LEAVING” If she saw a body of water, she would bee line for it if she was off leash. Every walk required a towel down before she was allowed back inside 🤣 Love a good water baby.

Great exercise mentally and physically for Buster! So funny he doesn't want to ever get out! Need to make/invent some type of floating raft he can get up on in the middle of the pool incase he gets too tired 😂. Dogs are awesome and make the world such a better place

Me too! And his dad stopped him on a dime. Let them have fun. It's sometimes in short supply. You need good memories to see you through hard times. Reference Til you can't by Cody Johnson. Buster is a Labrador retriever. They are working dogs and they go in water to retrieve the hunters quarry. So he naturally loves water.

And funnily enough I was watching a BBC television clip about that very thing, filmed in the 1970s. They showed some beautiful dogs just like these being taken through their retriever paces, jumping into a small pond to grab decoys as part of a sort of "country life" competition. Brilliant dogs indeed.

Buster is having fun, but please take the shoes off. Labrador retrievers have naturally webbed feet for swimming. He probably is very uncomfortable with shoes.
