Indeed there is a growing number of street children in Uganda. Figires are shocking. We first saw there with Rev. Dr. Kefa Ssempangi in the 70's and early 80's. He used to put these children at where there is Bakayombira theatre ne ku Rohana hotel. He did a good job of rehabilitation of these kids. Kibi nyo and these children do not want to go back.

@@ageisanumber let me tell you my dear, those kids there on streets not because they are poor or orphans, most of them leaves their homes because of influences, some because when they send them to do somethings at home and they don't want they just disappears from homes to streets, some are mistreated by the stepmothers but instead of joining street life look for something to do but not smoking marijuana and fina, etc..... even if they do what for those street kids they are spoiled the only alternative is to follow what the government has decided to remove them from the streets by force and programme for them and everywhere you go look at the Kenya streets the all Nairobi its full of Chokola(street kids) look at the European countries all the Bahnofs full of street people who where born in good families and there on railway stations just to drink alcohol and smoke etc....so Ugandans stop opposing the government programmes its us to help our children not the government! Let God stands with the minister Nakiwala kiyingi so that she can do what is really necessary for those street kids.
