Because the companies are not wrong. Example - a biscuit is labelled as whole grain biscuit. But when you see ingredients it has only 2% whole grain. Well, the company did not lie, it's just that the concentration is lower. It is a loophole, not entirely the fault of fssai.

One very important fact I would like to add. If you find 2 similar products with one having long shelf life (for example best before date is too long like 1 year) and another with short shelf life (for example 2-3 months), always prefer the one with short shelf life as it will have less or sometimes no preservatives. Harmful chemicals are added to extend shelf life of products be it atta, ketchup, mixture or anything. Yes big companies add preservatives in atta too I know because I am in same field.

In Germany they print nutri scale on each packaged items which is scale from A to F which tell you how healthy it unhealthy they are. We need to implement this in India too.

Yes sir we agree, but if all natural ingredients used to prepare package food. It will increase 3 times cost and expiry will be 3 to 6 month on low temperature. So, all natural ingredients product are 3 times expensive plus expiry date is sooner.
