This tour was wonderful! Even though it’s nearing the end of the bloom season, your gardens are still beautiful. It was great to hear you thinking out loud and sharing your expertise. I have to tell you that my family is getting hooked on your channel as much as I am. I visited my sister in Rochester a couple weeks ago, and she pulled up something on your channel to show me…although I had already seen it that morning. Awhile later, my brother-in-law, who is quickly catching the gardening bug, called me into the family because he wanted to show me “the spectacular garden” he found on KZbin. I walked into the family room, and there was your sun garden in all its splendor on his big screen TV! You’re on a pedestal the size of a skyscraper for all of us. Have an absolutely wonderful Labor Day weekend with your family.

Just subscribe today and have been binge watching. Your garden is beautiful. I would love to see more of you actually working in your yard. Like show what you do to get your garden ready for winter. As a side note your husband is so funny and I love the way you act like you did hear a thing. Also, how he show how much he loves you and is still so attracted to you.

I was worried about you and your gardens with Ida…the rain and wind stopped just short of us. You have had so much rain this year and I thought Ida would have recked havoc with your plants, but they still look good. So much dividing to do in my yard, as I’ve already started the process and thankful for these cooler days.
@GuidingGreenThumbs3 жыл бұрын
The rain has definitely affected things this year… Great for some, devastating for others. The good thing about gardening is that there’s always a new season ahead. I’m starting my fall digging and dividing also, I do love the cooler temps for that! 😉

Your garden looks great, even with some flopping plants! Mine is flopping also, I'm so tempted to remove some blooms and pull out some annuals but they are still blooming. I was thinking of you when IDA hit New York, glad you all are doing well. When would you recommend that I transplant my daylilies, and a tree peonie? It's still in the upper 90s here but dropping down to mid 80s in the next 5 days. You just never know with our weather here. Happy Labor Day, I'll be laboring in my garden. lol 🌷🌿🌸
@GuidingGreenThumbs3 жыл бұрын
We fared pretty well with Ida. More unwelcome rain for sure but with this season… I’m starting to expect it. Regarding transplanting: I would wait until temps are in the low 70’s at least to move your daylilies and the tree peony I would move 2 months before you’re fall first frost date (if you have one!).

Hi Holly, that is a Hydrangea shrub called 'Omacha Variegata', the foliage actually has dark green specks in it. (The foliage was primary reason I bought it... I had never seen that before.) :-)
