Laura I know you love symmetry, but I have to tell you I really loved this video series it was so fun. I also loved seeing all the different looking plants it really gives you a good idea of how different combinations grow together. And lol I think Aaron was the upset winner in this competition! He had some interesting choices that really looked great in the end! Happy gardening guys.

I love this experiment with the different selection of flowers. They are all beautiful and it’s nice to know you have the same issues as the rest of us....I tried a lot of new plants this year, some were very successful and a couple weren’t, but that had to do with the amount of sun they get and I knew that going in. That slow release fertilizer is powerful. I think if you had time to manicure them and spray them daily, we'd have a completely different look for September. That one Red Canna thrived as a solo, perhaps overcrowding the pot with 3 is why they say to put spacing between plants, it really helps them not fight for nutrients and water. Aaron's red canna had no crispy edges at all on the leaves.
@sandyg87945 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura and Aaron! Thank you for showing the competition pots! They are all so pretty. I vote for you doing this again next year. Since your hayracks are all the same, I like the variety of these pots. Aaron, your editing was spot on again! I love the Lantanas. I put one in a rectangle pot with a blue bacopa on each side. I bought a yellow Lantana for a pot that lost a plant. I grew some Dahlias in pots and they've done really well. One pot has 3 and 2 other pots have 1 each potted in with Nasturtiums. They were a mix, so I don't know the varieties. I would say overall, IMO, Aaron had the most wins! Good job Aaron on the "less is more" ideas. It's nice to see how each variety of plants did in the pots. At least most of them were wins. Thank you for sharing!
