The only reason this movie was great was because Lindsay Lohan was in the lead role. Her acting made the poor script actually kind of interesting.

Completely true, she made the movie good. I remember a director in an an interview saying he would never work with her again but said she will always land lead roles because of her talent and her name… now she’s got a 6 year deal with Netflix isn’t only going to make them money but going to make her a lot of money and get her name back out there again

​@@CoCo-TheClownIt's really lovely to see her doing so well. I just saw a recent clip (2024) & she looks amazing. But most importantly, she seems healthy & *happy.* After all of the horrible scrutiny & vilification, she deserves some peace. The early aughts were not a good time for young celebrities. I think the reason she was labeled "difficult" had to do with the turmoil in her life. I'll bet her work ethic & professionalism are no longer a problem. Sorry for the novel-length comment, lol. I'm just hoping the Lohanissance continues & I wish her the best. Same for the other child/teen stars who endured these awful things.

Lindsay was so sexy here. I think this is the last movie she was in before her personal problems and what not took a toll on her appearance. Thank God she seems to have cleaned her life up and is looking better, though I’ve always been a fan regardless. My girl Lindsay. ❤️

People have nostalgia for goofy holiday movies about a single woman who owns a bakery then falls in love with a guy who is almost definitely royalty undercover. Then they get married, she becomes the Empress of Magickstan. All while creating an international baking sensation that's aptly named 🧁Cupcake Empire. So. I think it's fair to say that it's tricky to not be ridiculous in these movies. They *want* the actors to overdo it. They're aiming for "so bad that its good." A lot of talented actors are in these holiday movies, and they all seem ridiculous. Have you seen the Vanessa Hudgens* ones? 😂 It's clearly for the 💰. * no idea if Vanessa Hudgens is a good actor. I just mentioned her because she plays 3 characters & it's peak cheesy holiday.
