It would only have taken the governor of each prison to have the terms of imprisonment and length of sentences of the inmates reviewed to find the most time of sentence served of none violent prisoners to be eligible for early release. Dates and video are given of Starmer in Lord Ali's flat during covid., and the dates for his son's exam don't match. Exams start May 9 finish June ?10th not the dates Starmer gives. Because if these people go back to work instead of looking after their own kids, there is more tax the government can take to pay pensioners that state pension and other pensioner benefits. This is in plain terms an ‘incentive’ to go back to work because of the insane price of childcare. Take away the free childcare and there is less money to pay pensioners state pension benefits.

@@mjl2904 Governments learning to budget properly would be an exceptionally good move instead of spending on ridiculous things because they are not accountable and they do not have to earn the money that they are spending in the first place. As far as I am aware tax deduction have nothing to do with pensions. Pensioners paid for their pensions. if you are a pensioner now and you had children then it was consided that you were financially responsible for all their needs. How things have changed.

Pensioners generally don’t work so stay home all day, so their heating needs are increased hence bills are greater,and on top of this the cost of energy is increasing as is already known. Just proper levels of meanstestingis an obvious solution . This would help to protect those that needit. Or just stop those on higher level of taxation This shouldn’t be happening in any wealthy country if it is being properly managed. This an indictment of our govmts.

Yes, I agree, but not all pensioners need it. I have a very small pension but can absorb not getting the fuel payment. I do it by not having a car and don't take foreign holidays, using your pass on public transport. That is more important to me because it gets me out.

There was not enough notice for those on low pensions to claim and receive pension credits as this takes months. Also the income limit is far too low I would like to see MPs living on under £13 k a year. No thought given to those who can’t get help claiming for a host of reasons. No impact statement after claiming the last government shouldn’t stop the winter fuel payment. Hypocritical, unjust and other cuts could have been made rather than this.

It’s simple to solve this problem and what should have been done is deport the 40,000 foreign prisoners in prisons all over the UK.
