Labour would axe Rwanda policy despite migrants heading for Ireland instead

Labour's Jonathan Reynolds has told Sky News that his party would scrap the government's Rwanda policy - despite reports of migrants heading to Ireland instead.
It comes after Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister said the threat of deportation to Rwanda is causing migrants to head towards his country instead of the UK.

If over the next 5yrs the British government plan to pay Rwanda $370m (and a flight is no more than £1k), if they're sending thousands then that math doesn't add up. Currently we're spending £2.92b a year on hotel accommodation alone with numbers continually increasing. Also if what's being shown is the plan is actually diverting illegal migrants to Ireland instead then those cost reduce again.
