Labradar LX Range Day Testing and Lessons Learned

This video is a bit long for the following 3 reasons:
1. 45 ACP and 9 mm pistol testing in a standing position with the supplied tripod as well as my previous Labradar small tripod sitting on the shooting bench top.
2. First time I've ever fully recorded a shooting session live covering all the targets (and I had a couple of FTE to deal with so I did some lubricating without stopping filming. Clearly time for my annual EB cleaning).
3. The recap at home discussing the issues of the range trip as well as the lessons learned.
Absolutely LOVE the compactness of this unit. Not a fan of the included tripod for the reasons I cover. Better to use a Labradar in a seated position, IMO. Less tripod and distance or spacing issues to deal with. Don't be around other shooters who are too close to you, will throw off the device (seems it's easier to pick up sound left or right than it is when shooting too far above the unit). No issues with battery life. Based on my settings and usage, I would expect to get about 4 hours of continuous usage from the unit, but would recommend having a backup battery just in case.

That looks like a rebranded inexpensive tripod off amazon. I just got the Garmin, I'll be using it tomorrow. I'm taking out the .338 LM & 6.5X55 CG 63.

How much did other shooter’s interference from their shooting caused errors to the Chronograph by picking up their bullets?

The guy to my left was shooting .357 from a revolver and he was so far back from his bench it was almost a safety issue. Guy to my right was to the left of his bench so his GF could be in front of the bench and as he was demonstrating to her how to shoot the Labradar was picking up the shoots. I should have either found a less busy area or change the Labradar settings (left it at the default of "medium"). When neither left/right guys were shooting, the Labradar worked fine in picking up my shots with the taller tripod.

@@ReLoadersBench thanks! I tried out the Garmin indoors and shots from other lanes would mess up the series. I ended up returning because I thought the maximum backlight setting was too dim for my preference. Which brings up how is the general brightness of the Labradar LX? Much appreciated info!

@@Majeskty - Since I didn't mention anything specific about the LX's screen, that means it didn't make my list of anything that bothered me. Long way of saying it was fine to me and easy to see at the range. Since you can see all the sets on your iPhone that's even better IMO.
