Great video! I just got my Labradar from Midway today. I bought after using two different buddies. The video made the app understandable. Thanks again!!

I’ve noticed that the Bluetooth device has to be within 6” from the LabRadar or it losses link. I’ve also noticed that the Bluetooth link is often dropped requiring me to reestablish link. I hope that this is a software bug that can be fixed with a firmware update. The good news is that shots made when not linked are captured and stored on the app when link is reestablish. I use an external battery cell which has two USB outputs so I can power the LabRadar and keep my phone charged at the same time. The app is a great feature but has limitations and certain intricacies that require familiarization and workarounds. Thank you for the video.

@Knighthawk6 thank you for the comment. If you cannot get a stable link within 6 inches, you may want to call Labradar. I am able to get a stable link out to 25 feet (I didn’t try further than 25 feet. That is just how far I wanted to try.) I also noticed that once I am connected, if I go to the main menu and select Devices Manager, while the app stays ‘connected’ to the Labradar unit, it ‘deselects’ it. Making me have to reconnect so that it gets both connected and selected. Don’t know if that last part makes sense. But it is annoying that when I connect, it should stay both connected and selected until I select another device or close the app. Again, thanks for the comment.

I haven’t had any issues like this, when I connect, it stays connected, even if I walk around or go back to the truck for something. I would try a different phone or device before I blamed the chronograph.

Their BT sucks ass. Probably cheap components, not software. Crappy antenna and amp or signal processor.

@@fredmeebley what device are you using? I've tried Samsung and Motorola phones with no luck, it's therev and shows up but always has a connection error. It's pretty sad they haven't updated anything since 2018.

I see they just came out with a NEW APP. Will you make a video for it too?

Did you have your phone plugged into the USB port during the demonstration or were you using blue tooth?
@knowledge2you3 жыл бұрын
Blue tooth. The white USB cord you see in the video was for the battery pack.

Thanks for the video, but it would be great if you teach us how to connect the device to the labradar, my android phone doesn't detect the labradar, i don't know what to do 😭😭😭

Saleh, I deleted the app from my iPhone and reinstalled it. Theses are the steps I took to install and connect. Open App Store. Search for Labradar. Select it. It will download and install. Close the App Store. Turn on the Labradar unit. Open the app on the phone. The screen shows Available Labradar, Known Devices, and Known Memories. In upper right, select the double arrow refresh icon. My Labradar unit is now listed under Available Labradar as Disabled. Select the unit. The app downloads what data it can find. Connection complete. If it is not connecting, make sure that Bluetooth is active on the Android phone.

The LR's Bluetooth is awful, apparently. You're not alone. What I've done is when starting up, first turn on the LR. Have the phone right on the unit, without a cover, BT turned on. When the LR has booted and brings up the series screen, start the LR App, and pick the device. It'll work about 30% of the time. When it doesn't sometimes hitting refresh (upper right) does the trick, but usually I have to start all over again turning off the app and the radar itself. Really pathetic considering it's a $600 unit, to have what I imagine is a poor BT antenna/signal processor. Like they threw it in with the cheapest components possible as an afterthought. I understand that a lot of people have contacted them about it with little response or intent to provide an upgrade.

Mine didn't work at first, I then put a SD card in it and have no problems now.
