What sets Lacey apart from so many other artists is that she believes so wholeheartedly every word that she is singing. That sincerity is raw and apparent.
@DraQinn Жыл бұрын
She expresses what she feels and and we can tell it's quite heartfelt. That's why any cover of songs like All Around Me will never be powerful, even Kristen May couldn't do this song justice. One has to have suffered great pain and wanted to die and then be relieved of that pain and 180 into finally being able to love life only after being a slave to pain.

i cry because i can relate to her testimony. every time ive pushed away God, i knew i was lying. after so long, i started to live a dark/blind life. knowing exactly how and why i got there. doing the very things i told myself i would never do. drugs, abortion, lying, cheating, stealing, pretty much everything under the sun that could hurt our creator. i could repent for days and still feel like it could never be enough. although in Gods eyes, we are all good enough. Stay Blessed!

@@mattliftsandjumps putting my faith in God changed my life. the crap i was doing in rave scenes and dragging other people with me was hurting myself and everyone around me. ive watched my friends get killed and die from drug overdose. the life i was living there was no getting out. giving everything to God and trusting him is what changed my life. take a good look around you. how could anything other than God create a world such as this? the only perfect recipe for the reason we are living is because of God. im not trying to push anything on you. i just think there are no such thing as coincidence. =*)

this performance just changed me. i, too, am 16 and am experiencing the same thing that lacey did. i went through the toughest year of my life and i wanted to die. i felt like everyone was better off without me anyways, so it wouldn’t matter. i was so depressed that i wouldn’t eat, sleep, or just do anything normal. i put on a facade for my friends at school, but i came home and just laid on my floor for hours. i felt like nobody understood or saw me, not my friends, parents, or even God. and im going to be completely honest, i resented God for a very long while. i felt like God left me all by myself and he wasn’t there with me holding my hands. i was raised in a christian household my entire life, so all i’ve been taught was about God. and i felt like with all i went through that what i was taught about God was completely contrary. “i’m alive, i’m alive”. yes, i am alive. and i have been doing so much better. this song made me realize that God was in fact there with me otherwise i wouldn’t be alive. he made me for a reason.

I'm a year younger in you and I was in the same place. When I was 11 I hated myself, I didn't think anyone cared about me and I started to doubt God. I was so suicidal by 12 and I would just cry and cry and write notes to myself on ways to kill myself. I'm not sure why but I gradually started to heal, in a way. I started to go to church every Sunday, before I would skip just because. I read my Bible, I prayed. I changed. I didn't have a single suicidal thought at 14, that was a big step for me. I will be praying for you, God is with you.

My best friend who I considered a brother is from this little town Simpsonville,SC. One night after our band played a show (without telling anybody). I never u understood at the time. I lost my best friend and brother that night and felt like I lost everything and felt alone wondering how everything could come to a hault out of nowhere.... years later I realiZe it was selfish of me to not understand that he needed to find himself and who he was as a human. Now that years have gone by, I've seen him 1 time and always wondered if he never moved from Massachusetts back to Simpsonville how my life would've turned out. I was in self destruct mode for along time and never really felt the same again....but anyways, I come here because Laceys songs, and singing makes me feel better and helps me cope knowing there are other people out there who feel the same as I did/do and to always have faith and believe in whatever/whoever that may be . You Never lose faith, it will always be with you ....even when you think it left you like the people in your life can. ♥️ Thank you

This recording of this song is my favourite version, I feel her emotions every time and give me a gratitude for being alive and happy.

It's been really strained in recent show as well. Crackles. I think she just needs to take care of it properly. Especially if they're going to be doing some touring. Rehearsals aren't going to do much if there's no care in between. It's the most important instrument for a vocalist.
